Toen ik deze display tegenkwam van de Catrice ICONails Travel collectie bij onze drogist, werd ik heel blij. Ik heb meer van deze mini nagellakken van Catrice en wist meteen dat ik ze zou gaan kopen. Ik ontdekte ook, terwijl ik daar stond, dat de grote flesjes speciale verpakkingen zijn van bestaande lakken. Aangezien ik al deze kleuren thuis al in de collectie had, heb ik deze niet gekocht.
When I came across this display with the Catrice ICONails Travel collection, I was very happy! I own a couple of other mini Catrice polishes and like them a lot, so I knew I would buy them all. I also found out while reading the names on the bottles, that the regular sizes were all shades from the core collection. I didn’t buy any of them, because they were already sitting in my collection.
Dus met deze vijf mini flesjes nagellak ging ik naar huis.
So I went home with these five mini bottles of nail polish.
Ik heb wel de andere kleuren uit deze collectie erbij gezocht, zodat ik ze wel kon meenemen bij het swatchen.
I looked up the other shades in my collection, so I could use them with the swatches.
Catrice limited edition Travel ICONails C01 Sous Le Ciel De Paris
Ik heb steeds op dezelfde manier mijn swatches gemaakt. Op mijn wijsvinger draag ik de kleur uit de reguliere collectie. Op mijn middelvinger deed ik twee laagjes van de limited edition kleur en op mijn ringvinger 1 laagje van de limited edition kleur. Ik wilde ook steeds een laagje van de limited editions kleuren lakken om te kijken of ze ook geschikt zouden zijn als toppers. Ik heb hiervoor gekozen omdat met dit kleine flesje toch maar drie vingers op de foto zouden komen.
I used the same method for all my swatch pictures. I painted the polish from the regular collection on my index finger. On my middle finger I painted two coats of the limited edition colour and on my ring finger one coat. I wanted to show you also just one coat to check if these limited edition shades could be used as toppers. I chose for this three finger plan, because I would not get all fingers on the pictures with these small bottles.
Het eerste paar dat ik laat zien is Parijs! De reguliere kleur/ het grote nagellak flesje is Catrice ICONails 73 I Have A Blush On You. Ik draag hier twee laagjes. Op mijn middelvinger heb ik twee laagjes gesponsd van de kleine limited edition kleur C01 Sous Le Ciel De Paris. Op mijn ringvinger draag ik een laagje van Sous Le Ciel De Paris. Het is een leuke glitterlak in een rozige basis. Zoals je ziet combineert het heel leuk met I Have A Blush On You. En dat is het geval met alle combinaties!
First I’m showing you the Paris pair! The regular colour in the normal sized bottle is Catrice ICONails 73 I Have A Blush On You. I’m showing two coats on the nail of my index finger. On my middle finger I sponged two coats of the limited edition colour in de mini bottle C01 Sous Le Ciel De Paris. On my ring finger I’m wearing just one coat of Sous Le Ciel De Paris. It’s a cute glitter polish in a sheer pink base. As you can see it’s very complimentary to I Have A Blush On You. And that’s also the case with all the other combinations.
Catrice limited edition Travel ICONails C02 London Calling
Nu is Londen aan de beurt. De limited edition kleur is C02 London Calling. Die is gecombineerd met Catrice ICONails 71 I Kinda Lilac You, waarvan ik mijn wijsvinger twee laagjes draag. Op mijn middelvinger is het dus twee laagjes en op mijn ringvinger een laagje van London Calling. London Calling is een lila metallic foil.
Next up is London. The limited edition colour is C02 London Calling. It’s paired with Catrice ICONails 71 I Kinda Lilac You, that I’m wearing in two coats on my index finger. On my middle finger I’m wearing two coats and on my ring finger it’s just one coat of London Calling. I would describe London Calling as a lilac metallic foil.
Catrice limited edition Travel ICONails C03 It’s Up To You, New York
Nu is het tijd voor New York. De volgende limited edition kleur heet It’s Up To You, New York en is gecombineerd met Catrice ICONails 60 Let Me Be Your Favourite. Wederom draag ik twee laagjes, twee laagjes en een laagje van boven naar beneden op mijn nagels. It’s Up To You, New York is ook een metallic nagellak en dekt iets beter in twee laagjes dan London Calling.
Now it’s time for New York. The limited edition shade It’s Up To You, New York, is paired with Catrice ICONails 60 Let Me Be Your Favourite. Again it’s two coats, two coats, one coat across my fingers. It’s Up To You, New York is also a metallic polish and it has slightly better coverage in two coats than London Calling.
Catrice limited edition Travel ICONails C04 Summer In Berlin
Nu gaan we naar Berlijn. Als eerste heb ik hier op mijn wijsvinger twee laagjes van Catrice ICONails 10 Rosywood Hills, de kleur uit de reguliere collectie. Daarna op mijn middelvinger twee laagjes en op mijn ringvinger een laagje van de limited edition kleur Summer In Berlin. Opnieuw vind ik de gekozen combinatie erg mooi.
Now we’re off to Berlin. First on my index finger is two coats of Catrice ICONails 10 Rosywood Hills, the shade from the core collection. Than on my middle finger two coats and on my ring finger one coat of the limited edition colour Summer In Berlin. Again I think the chosen combination is really pretty!
Catrice limited edition Travel ICONails C05 Skyscapers In Dubai
De laatste stop is Dubai. De limited edition kleur is C05 Skyscrapers In Dubai. Deze kleur is gecombineerd met Catrice ICONails 72 Why The Shell Not?! uit de reguliere lijn. Ik heb Why The Shell Not?! tot nu toe alleen nog maar gebruikt als basiskleur voor nail art. Maar ik denk dat Skyscrapers in Dubai daar ook heel geschikt voor kan zijn.
The last stop is Dubai. The limited edition colour is C05 Skyscrapers In Dubai. This colour is paired with Catrice ICONails 72 Why The Shell Not?! I used Why The Shell Not?! only as base for nail art so far and I think Skyscrapers in Dubai will also be very suitable for nail art base.
Nu vraag je je misschien af waarom ik zo blij ben met deze kleine flesjes. Nou dat komt door de kwastjes. In deze kleine flesjes zitten namelijk de normale maat Catrice kwasten. Dus dat maakt ze heel geschikt om mee te nemen op vakantie, terwijl je niet hoeft in te leveren op lakplezier. (Het is mijn persoonlijke mening dat een groot deel van het lakplezier afhangt van de kwaliteit van de kwast, daar hoef je het uiteraard niet mee eens te zijn 😉)
At the end of this post you may wonder why I’m so happy with these little bottles. Well that’s because of the brushes. In these little bottles is the same Catrice paddle brush as in the full size bottles. That makes these bottles very good for packing and taking along while at the same time giving you equal polish fun. (That’s my personal opinion, I think a big part of polish fun is in the quality of the brush).
