Vandaag is ook het nieuwe jaar van When Colours Collide gestart. De eerste ronde had de opdracht Kleurrijk. Als deelnemer mocht je zelf de kleuren kiezen. Maar eerst laat ik de collage zien van het afgelopen jaar. Today starts When Colours Collide with a new year of challenges. The first round is Colourful. As participant you could choose your own set of colours. First I’ll show you the collage of all my mani’s of last year. Voor deze opdracht ben ik voor blauw en oranje gegaan. Ik heb gekozen voor deze kleuren om de betekenis en omdat ik ze mooi vind. Blauw staat vaak voor betrouwbaarheid en oranje voor blijdschap. Een mooie wens voor 2021. Vandaag is dierendag! Ik denk dat het de eerste keer is dat mijn zondagspost op dierendag valt. Dus je raadt het al, mijn nail art heeft een dierenthema. Today is Animal Day! Ik had zin in een neutrale basis voor de week. Maar ik kon niet kiezen en nu is het een skittle mani geworden. I was in the mood for a more neutral base for this week. But I couldn’t pick just one colour, so it’s a skittle mani instead. Duim, wijsvinger en middelvinger kregen de kleur Etos nail polish 53 Whatever. Ringvinger kreeg Etos nail polish 47 Nude en pink Etos nail polish 48 Sahara. Thumb, pointer and middle finger were painted with Etos nail polish 53 Whatever. Ring finger was painted with Etos nail polish 47 Nude and little finger Etos nail polish 48 Sahara. Voor het jaar 2020 heeft het Pantone instituut weer haar voelsprieten uitgezet en koos toen Classic Blue. Deze blauwe kleur straalt rust en vertrouwen uit, iets dat de wereld nu goed kan gebruiken bij de start van het nieuwe decennium. Trend analysis and additional thoughtful consideration let the Pantone Institute to pick Classic Blue for Color of the Year 2020. This shade of blue has reassuring qualities, something the world can use as we cross the threshold into a new era. Pantone gebruikt dit beeld van twee mensen die elkaar ontmoeten in het blauw van een avondlucht om de kleur te promoten. Ik vind het een heel mooi beeld. Pantone uses this image of two people meeting with the backdrop of a dusky sky to communicate Classic Blue. This really speaks to me, I really like this image. De eerste kleurencombinatie van 2020 voor When Colours Collide is Paars, Beige en Bruin. Maar voordat ik deze laat zien, wil ik mijn collage laten zien met al mijn nail arts voor When Colours Collide van 2019! The first colour combo this year for When Colours Collide is Purple, Beige and Brown. Before I’ll show my nail art, I want to show you the collage for my year with When Colours Collide 2019! Ik heb maar een keer verstek moeten laten gaan. Het was een kleurrijk jaar! Op naar een nieuw jaar met vast weer veel leuke kleuren combinaties. I only missed one prompt. It was a colourful year. Now let’s start this year. I’m sure it wil have a lot of fun colour combinations! Ik vond dit een hele mooie kleurencombinatie om het jaar mee te starten. Zo rustig en kalmerend. Deze keer bij When Colours Collide was het de kleuren Bruin en Zilver. En zal ik je wat verklappen, ik was verbaasd hoe leuk ik deze kleuren combinatie vond. This time When Colours Collide was Brown and Silver. And I’ll let you in on a little secret: I really liked this colour combo! Ik heb mijn duim, wijsvinger en pink bruin gelakt met L’Oreal L’Atelier Choco en daarover subtiel wat vlekken gesponst met Etos Brunette. Op mijn duim heb ik er het bolletjes patroon op gestempeld en op mijn wijsvinger en pink de golvende lijn. Op mijn middelvinger en ringvinger heb ik 1 laagje Il etait un vernis 50% sparkly, 50% fairy dust gedaan en daarover op beide nagels het bolletjes patroon gedaan.
