Vandaag is ook het nieuwe jaar van When Colours Collide gestart. De eerste ronde had de opdracht Kleurrijk. Als deelnemer mocht je zelf de kleuren kiezen. Maar eerst laat ik de collage zien van het afgelopen jaar.

Today starts When Colours Collide with a new year of challenges. The first round is Colourful. As participant you could choose your own set of colours. First I’ll show you the collage of all my mani’s of last year.

Voor deze opdracht ben ik voor blauw en oranje gegaan. Ik heb gekozen voor deze kleuren om de betekenis en omdat ik ze mooi vind. Blauw staat vaak voor betrouwbaarheid en oranje voor blijdschap. Een mooie wens voor 2021.

For this round I chose blue and orange. I chose the colours because I liked te combination and I liked the associated meaning. Blue is often said to represent trustworthiness and orange joy. I’m wishing this for 2021.

Ik maakte een combinatie van een donkerdere en lichtere blauw en hetzelfde deed ik in oranje. De donkerdere kleur gebruikte ik als basis, de lichtere om mee te stempelen. Om het af te werken zette ik met een dotting tool nog stipjes in het midden van de bloemetjes. Tot slot ging er een dikke laag top coat overheen.

I made two combination of a darker and lighter shade, one in blue and one in orange. I used the darker shade as my base and de lighter one to stamp. To finish it off I placed little dots in the centres of the flowers. And finally I topped it off with a thick coat of top coat.
