Mijn jaarlijkse roze nail art voor Halloween is er weer. Net als voorgaande jaren heb ik pinktober gecombineerd met spooky season. My yearly pink nail art for Halloween has arrived. Just like previous years I combined pinktober with spooky season. Als basis koos ik roze nagellak van essence. Op mijn accentnagel heb ik een maan gestempeld met een vliegende heks. Dit alles geïnspireerd door een interessante YouTube video van Abby Cox. Stiekem ben ik al jaren fan van een aantal Costubers, maar Abby is een recente toevoeging aan mijn lijstje. Ik ga kijken of ik de video hieronder kan linken. As base I used a pink nail polish by essence. On my accent nail I stamped a moon with a flying witch. It’s inspired by an interesting YouTube video by Abby Cox. I’m a secret fan of a couple of Costubers for many years and Abby is a recent addition to my list. I’ll try to link the video below. Deze ronde van When Colours Collide was met de kleuren Zwart, Oranje en Blauw. Ik maakte er deze bloemige nail art mee. This round of When Colours Collide was with the colours Black, Orange and Blue. I made this floral nail art. Ik koos ervoor om blauw als de basis te gebruiken. Daarover stempelde ik zwarte bloemen die ik met een dotting tool oranje harten gaf, of een ik stempelde een ingekleurde bloemenstempel. I chose blue as the base colour. I stamped black flowers on top that I gave orange centres with a dotting tool. For the other nails I created a stamping decal. Vandaag hebben we een vreemde Koningsdag gevierd. Namelijk een thuis-Koningsdag, omgedoopt tot Woningsdag. Want in deze tijd gelden natuurlijk nog allemaal maatregelen, waardoor een groot feest niet mogelijk was. We hebben oranje tompoucen gegeten, gezelschapsspelletjes gespeeld, heel veel genoten van de zon in de tuin en een rondje video bellen gedaan. Today we celebrated a different kind of King’s Day. It was a home celebration and the name had been changed to Woningsdag (At Home Day). Because in these times with al kind of COVID-19 measures in place, it’s not possible to celebrate in big masses of people. We ate orange tompoucen (a kind of Napoleons), played some board games, enjoyed the sun in the garden and did a round of video calls. Ik heb mijn nagels even wat gespaard, zodat ik meer lengte had voor de stempel. Sinds vanavond zijn ze weer kort! Het klopt dat het vandaag 1 maart is, maar ik laat nu pas op de blog mijn nail art zien die ik heb gemaakt voor de (bi-)Monthly Music Mani collab: Duets. Eigenlijk waren we met dit thema nog in Valentijnssferen. We hebben allemaal een duet gekozen en ons daardoor laten inspireren voor nail art. Hallo iedereen! Mijn hele planning en schema ligt op alle terreinen in de war, want de griep kwam langs in ons gezin! Inmiddels zijn we weer aan de beterende hand en voel ik mij fit genoeg om even mijn blog bij te werken. Hello everybody! My whole private and professional schedule is a mess, because of the flu. All four of us had high fevers for several days. We’re now recovering and I feel finally well enough to post on the blog again. Deze keer bij When Colours Collide was het thema de kleuren Wit, Grijs, Zwart en ?. De vierde kleur mocht je zelf kiezen. Ik koos rood en maakte een abstracte semi-Valentijns nail art. Het is bijna Valentijnsdag, dus het is weer de tijd van het jaar om met rood en roze te werken. Tegelijkertijd trekt storm Ciara over het land. Ik ben niet zo dol op stormachtig weer. Ik houd meer van rustig winterweer. Dus pakte ik een plaat met sneeuwvlokken en maakte deze nail art. It’s almost Valentine’s Day, so it’s the season for red and pink nail art. Today the weather is really awful because of storm Ciara. And I really don’t like stormy weather. I prefer calm winter weather. So I picked a stamping plate with snowflakes. Als het perfecte winter weer niet buiten is, kan je het altijd nog op je nagels schilderen 😉 Ik gebruikte twee laagjes Essie sweet soufflé als basis en stempelde eroverheen met twee verschillende kleuren roze. Ik ben dol op kerstmuziek! Ik word er ieder jaar weer blij van als de kerstmuziek op de radio komt. Ik wist dus meteen welk liedje ik wilde gebruiken toen de meiden van de (bi)Monthly Music Collab het volgende thema kozen, namelijk Kerst muziek. Ik koos voor Jingle Bell Rock. Tegelijk had ik dus ook al een hele lijst reserveliedjes, mocht plan A mislukken. I LOVE Christmas music! Each year when the radio stations start playing their Christmas music, I’m very happy! I knew right away which song I wanted to use when the girls from the (bi)Monthly Music Mani Collab chose the new theme: Christmas music. I chose Jingle Bell Rock. At the same time I kept a whole list as back ups, should my first choice fail. Jingle Bell Rock is gewoon een heel vrolijk kerstlied. Ik ben zelf iemand die alle uitvoeringen goed vind. Oktober is de maand van Halloween, maar ook de maand van stoppen met roken (Stoptober) en aandacht voor borstkanker (Pinktober). Ik heb net als vorig jaar Pinktober met Halloween gecombineerd. En daarmee doe ik ook mee aan de oproep van Nails of Lizmo om zoveel mogelijk roze op je insta feed te laten zien. October is the month of Halloween, but also the month to stop with smoking (Stoptober) and breast cancer awareness (Pinktober). Just like last year I combined Pinktober with Halloween in this nail art. Also Nails of Lizmo dared us nail ladies to do a Pinktober challenge by showing as many pink mani’s in our insta feed as we could. Ik lakte mijn duim, wijsvinger en pink lichtroze met Essence shine last & go 04 millenial pink. Mijn middelvinger en ringvinger lakte ik een diepere roze kleur met OPI Infinite Shine Aurora Berry-alis. Dit weekeinde had Dochter haar grote balletvoorstelling met de hele dansschool. Ik hielp achter de coulissen mee met het maken van knotten, heel veel haarlak opspuiten en het aanbrengen van make up. Om in het thema te blijven droeg ik deze nail art. This weekend was the big ballet show of Daughters dance school. I helped behind the scenes with tying hair in tight ballet buns, using generous amounts of hair spray and applying stage make up. To stay with the theme I wore this nail art. Het is niet vaak dat ik “dubbel” stempel, maar mijn eerste stempels in zilver waren niet heel goed gelukt. Ook in het roze ging het niet perfect, maar samen zag het er best goed uit. Ik heb met de nail art heel veel kleine meisjes heel blij gemaakt. It’s not often that I use “double stamping”. But my first round of stamping in silver was with a lot of holes. Vandaag wil ik jullie deze zeemeermin nail art laten zien, die ik heb gemaakt met één van de Catrice Galactic Glow effect toppers. Today I want to show you this mermaid nail art I made using one of the Catrice Galactic Glow effect toppers. Ik heb mijn nagels lichtblauw gelakt met Essie Gel Couture Getting Intricate. Daarna heb ik op vier nagels Catrice Galactic Glow 08 Follow the Zodiacs aangebracht en eroverheen met donkerblauw het schubbenpatroon gestempeld. Op mijn ringvinger, zonder topper, heb ik een zeemeermin gestempeld. I painted my nails light blue with Esse Gel Couture Getting Intricate. On four nails I also painted Catrice Galactic Glow 08 Follow the Zodiacs and stamped over it with dark blue. On my ring finger, the one without the Catrice topper, I stamped the mermaid.
