Het klopt dat het vandaag 1 maart is, maar ik laat nu pas op de blog mijn nail art zien die ik heb gemaakt voor de (bi-)Monthly Music Mani collab: Duets. Eigenlijk waren we met dit thema nog in Valentijnssferen. We hebben allemaal een duet gekozen en ons daardoor laten inspireren voor nail art.

Yes, today it’s March 1st, but I’m now showing you on the blog the nail art I made for the (bi-)Monthly Music Mani collab: Duets. When we chose this theme, we were still thinking along the lines of Valentines. We all chose a different duet and let it inspire us for nail art.

Ik koos voor het duet Something Stupid in de uitvoering van Robbie Williams en Nicole Kidman. Ik heb mij laten inspireren door dit deel van de videoclip. Deze foto is een screen grab.

I chose for this duet: Something Stupid by Robbie Williams and Nicole Kidman. My inspiration came from the video clip and specifically this part where Nicole Kidman wears a gold jacket. This photo is made through a screen grab.

En dit heb ik er van gemaakt! Ik heb als basis OPI Suzi & the Arctic Fox gebruikt, een hele donkere paars. Behalve op mijn ringvinger, daar koos ik voor OPI 50 years of style. Ik stempelde over mijn paarse nagels strepen met grijs en grijs en wit gemengd en wit. Op mijn gouden nagel deed ik eerst nog twee lagen glitters en daarna stempelde ik er in wit en grijs de tekst I Love You. De glitter kwam niet goed over op de foto, maar in daglicht schitterde het enorm!

This is what I came up with! I used OPI Suzi & the Arctic Fox as base, this is a really dark and dusty purple. On my ring finger nail I chose a gold as base, that’s OPI 50 years of style. I stamped stripes on my purple nails with grey, grey mixed with white and white stamping polishes. On my golden nail I painted two layers of glitter and stamped on top with white and grey the words I Love You. I couldn’t capture the glitters on the picture, but in natural sunlight it really sparkled!
