Twee creatieve nail art dames organiseerden op instagram een collab met als thema “Are you a fan of volcanoes and lava?” Nu heb ik een kleine jongen hier in huis die dinosaurussen, vulkanen en speciale gesteenten helemaal geweldig vindt. Dus ik wist dat ik hieraan mee wilde doen!

Two very creative nail art ladies organised a collab on instagram with the theme: “Are you a fan of volcanoes and lava?” Well, I’m the lucky mom to a boy that loves dinosaurs, volcanoes and mineral stones. So I knew I had to participate!

Ik heb smalle nagels en vanwege de pandemie houd ik ze korter, dus ik heb maar kleine canvassen om mee te werken. Ik heb speciaal voor deze collab een paar nieuwe platen bij KADS besteld en ze waren er al snel! Want ik zag op deze plaat een afbeelding die ik als vulkaan zou kunnen gebruiken. Uiteindelijk heb ik mijn hele nail art op deze plaat (KADS Nature 044) gebaseerd. Als basis gebruikte ik van de Essie Gel Couture lijn getting intricate. Daarover stempelde ik op mijn ringvinger een vulkaan die ik op mijn stempel eerst nog van de rode lava sporen voorzag. Op mijn eerste vingers stempelde ik vogels van deze plaat en op mijn pink suggereerde ik nog een rotsachtig landschap. Tot slot voegde met een sponsje en wat witte nagellak nog stoom uit de vulkaan en wolken toe.

I have narrow nails and because of the pandemic I keep them shorter, so I have tiny canvasses to work with. Because of this collab I ordered some new plates at KADS and they arrived within a short time! I thought I had recognised an image on this plate that I could use as a volcano. In the end I decided to create the whole nail art with only this stamping plate (KADS Nature 044). As base I used getting intricate from the Essie Gel Couture line. I created a reverse stamped volcano for my ring finger by adding red polish to fill the lines to create lava. On my first fingers I stamped birds and om my pink I stamped some more to create a rocky landscape. Finally with a little sponge and some white nail polish I created some steam from the volcano and clouds.
