Dat duurde allemaal weer langer dan gedacht! Maar heerlijk om weer tijd te hebben/ maken voor de blog. Het is niet echt een titel, maar ik moet er weer inkomen. Dit najaar heeft Catrice twee nieuwe kleuren aan de More Than Nude nail polish lijn toegevoegd en drie kleuren met een andere speciale shimmer effect finish. It took much longer than expected! But it feels great writing another blog post. The titel is a very long description, not so creative. I think the creative juices are a little out of practice. This fall Catrice has added two new colours to their More Than Nude nail polish line and they have created a new specialty finish in three colours. Laten we maar beginnen met de swatches. Hallo mensen! Het is alweer even geleden dat ik een nieuwe post heb geschreven. Na de zomervakantie is het nieuwe schooljaar gestart volgens het normale programma en schema. Dat betekent dat de agenda ook weer net zo vol zit als voor corona. En daar moeten we nog aan wennen. Ik heb nog volop plannen voor de blog, maar ik weet even niet hoe ik daar vroeger de tijd voor vrijmaakte! Hello people! It’s been awhile since I wrote a new blog post. Er is een nieuwe Music Mani cola afgerond. Deze keer was het plan er een verjaardagthema voor een van de groepsleden van te maken. Alleen door vertraging op de lijn, is de collab deze week pas afgerond. Mocht je nail art maken en muziekthema’s leuk vinden, het is een gezellige groep! Deze week wordt 25 jaar Pride Amsterdam gevierd. Helaas heeft het coronavirus ervoor gezorgd dat het programma heel erg moest worden aangepast. Alle grote festiviteiten worden doorgeschoven naar volgend jaar. Neemt niet weg dat het zeker aandacht verdiend met een blogpost en een nail art. This week 25 years of Pride Amsterdam is celebrated. Sadly Covid restrictions changed the planned program and all the grand festivities are scheduled for next year. It still means it deserves a blog post and nail art. Als basis heb ik alle nagels wit gelakt. Mijn duim, die niet mee meedoet op de foto’s is dus nog wit. Daarna heb ik een regenboog gecreëerd met de kleuren roze, rood, oranje, geel, groen, turquoise, blauw en violet. Dit is dus geïnspireerd op het eerste ontwerp van de regenboogvlag door de kunstenaar Gilbert Baker. Over deze regenboog heb ik met zwart een open hartjes patroon gestempeld. Deze ronde van When Colours Collide was met de thema kleuren Roze, Zilver en Zwart. Normaal gesproken zou nu aan het einde van het dansseizoen van Dochter een voorstelling zijn geweest. Maar door Covid is dit niet doorgegaan. Met deze nail art wil ik het dansseizoen wel wat aandacht geven. This round of When Colours Collide had the theme colours Pink, Silver and Black. In normal times we would have had a performance by Daughter at the dance school. But because of Covid that has not happened. With this nail art I want to give some attention to the end of the season. Duim, wijsvinger en pink kregen twee laagjes roze, terwijl middelvinger en ringvinger twee laagjes zilver kregen. Over de zilveren nagels deed ik een dry brush strook roze en stempelde ik een ballerina in zwart. On the thumb nail, pointer nail and little finger nail I painted two coats of pink nail polish. Soms vraag ik thuis wat ik op mijn nagels zal doen. Vandaag kreeg ik daarop het antwoord van mijn zoon: blauw met bloemetjes! Nu is blauw een van zijn lievelingskleuren en niet heel verrassend als antwoord, maar de bloemetjes waren een onverwachte toevoeging. Dus met de opdracht blauw met bloemetjes ging ik iets maken. Vier nieuwe swatches Catrice More Than Nude nagellak

Het is bijna een jaar geleden dat ik swatches uit de Catrice More Than Nude nail polish lijn toonde. Vandaag heb ik vier nieuwe kleuren. Vorig jaar was ik erg onder de indruk van een paar kleuren. Ik ben benieuwd of ik weer nieuwe favorieten erbij krijg. Alle kleuren laat ik zien in twee laagjes met top coat. Ze zijn namelijk bedoeld om enigszins transparant te zijn. It’s been a year since I showed swatches from the Catrice More Than Nude nail polish line. Today I have four new shades. Last year I was really impressed by some shades and I hope this release will give me new favourites. I’m showing every polish in two coats with top coat. De laatste ronde van When Colours Collide was met de thema kleuren Donkerblauw, Wit en Oranje. Dit heb ik ermee gedaan. Last round of When Colours Collide had the theme colours Dark blue, White and Orange. This is what I was inspired to make. Als basis gebruikte ik witte nagellak van Essence. Daarover stempelde ik via de reverse stamping methode ingekleurde bloemen in blauw en oranje. As base I used white nail polish by Essence. On top I stamped through reverse stamping blue and orange flowers. Vandaag heb ik subtiele roze lentenagels voor jullie. Today I have subtle pink spring nails for you. Als basis gebruikte ik twee laagjes Catrice More than Nude 08 Shine Pink Like A … en een laagje Catrice x Kaviar gauche C04 Rose d’Or. Hierdoor kregen de nagels een roze gloed met ook klein beetje gouden shimmer. Alleen zie je er niets van op de foto. Daarna stempelde ik steeds dezelfde afbeelding in een gradient over de vingers. Eerst wit, dan lichtroze, dan middenroze en tot slot dieproze. The base was created with two coats of Catrice More than Nude 08 Shine Pink Like A … and one coat of Catrice x Kaviar gauche C04 Rose d’Or. This gave the nails in the sunlight a pink glow with a bit of golden shimmer. It sadly didn’t show up in the pictures. Then I stamped the same image from light to dark. Deze ronde van When Colours Collide had de thema kleuren Geel, Paars en Zwart. Eerst dacht ik aan lente en Pasen, maar uiteindelijk koos ik toch een meer abstracte vorm. This round of When Colours Collide had the theme colours Yellow, Purple and Black. At first I thought about doing something with spring or Easter, but in the end I chose for more of an abstract nail art. Ik koos geel als de basiskleur en alle nagels kregen twee laagjes Catrice ICONails 68 Turn the lights on. Daarover bracht ik eerst wat paarse vegen aan (dry brush) en daarna stempelde ik er in zwart takjes over. I chose to use yellow as my base colour and all nails received two coats of Catrice ICONails 68 Turn the lights on. Then I added the purple dry brush and then I stamped an image of twigs in black.
