Op Instagram doe ik mee aan de #itpantone2018 challenge die georganiseerd wordt door @thenailpolishhoarder. Ik houd al jaren de Pantone seizoenskleuren bij, dus ik was heel blij toen ik deze challenge ontdekte! De eerste drie rondes had ik helaas gemist, dat waren Ultra Violet, (paars, de jaarkleur), Meadowlark (geel) en Cherry Tomato (rood). Inmiddels heb ik vijf weken meegedaan en wil ik op de blog de prachtige inspiratie collages van TheNailPolishHoarder laten zien en mijn swatches van kleurtjes uit mijn collectie.
On Instagram I participate in the #itpantone2018 challenge hosted by @thenailpolishhoarder. I follow the Pantone seasonal colour palettes since years, so I was very happy when I stumbled upon this challenge! I missed the first three rounds, that were Ultra Violet (purple and colour of the year), Meadowlark (yellow) and Cherry Tomato (red). It’s already five weeks that I participated and on the blog I wanted to show you the beautiful inspirational collages of TheNailPolishHoarder and my swatches with colours from my stash.
De eerste week dat ik mee deed was de kleur Little Boy Blue aan de beurt. Dit is een prachtige lichtblauw, die doet denken aan de lucht bij een zomerse dag. Mijn keuze was een nagellak van L’Oreal uit de L’huile nagellak collectie in de kleur 671 Monsieur Bleu.
The first time I participated was in the week of Little Boy Blue. It is a beautiful light blue shade that reminds me of the sky on a summers day. My pick was a polish by L’Oreal l’huile in de colour 671 Monsieur Bleu.

De week daarna was de week van Chili Oil. Dit is een roodbruine kleur. Mijn keuze was een nagellak van Revlon in de kleur 043 Forbidden. Helaas ging het lakken niet vlekkeloos, de nagellak was erg dun en liep in mijn nagelriemen.
The next week was Chili Oil. That is a brown based red. My pick was Revlon 043 Forbidden. But the formula turned out to be quit runny and flooded my cuticles.

Toen was Pink Lavender aan de beurt. Dit is een zachte lavendelroze tint. Ik vond toen in mijn collectie twee opties. Een naamloze Herome World of Color nagellak (die werd het dus niet) en deze van Sally Hansen. Dit is uit de NailGrowth Miracle lijn in de kleur 170 Loyal Lavender.
Then it was Pink Lavender’s turn. This is a soft violet rose. I found two options in my stash. A Herome World of Color polish without a name (so that one fell off) and this one by Sally Hansen. It is from the NailGrowth Miracle line in 170 Loyal Lavender.

Daarna volgde Emperador. Een warme chocoladebruine tint. Dat was voor mij niet moeilijk, er was maar 1 optie in de vorm van Catrice Brown Collection Nail Lacquer in 01 Fashion Addicted.
After that followed Emperador. A rich chocolate brown. This one was easy, I only had one option. It was Catrice Brown Collection Nail Lacquer in 01 Fashion Addicted.

Met Almost Mauve als laatste zijn we helemaal bij. Dit is een hele lichte tint die doet denken aan bloemblaadjes. Ik koos voor Essie Urban Jungle, een delicate mix van grijs en roze.
We finish this recap with Almost Mauve. It’s a very pale shade that reminds me of petals. I chose Essie Urban Jungle, a delicate mix of grey and pink.

Ik vind het een fantastisch leuke challenge om aan mee te doen. Het is een goede reden om weer door mijn nagellak collectie te gaan en kleuren te ontdekken die soms al lange tijd geen aandacht hadden gehad. Volgende maand hoop ik een nieuw overzicht te posten. Ik hoop nog steeds matchende kleuren te vinden!
I think this challenge is so great. It gives me reason to go through the stash looking for colours that didn’t get any love for a long time. The next recap will be in a month. I hope I will still find matching colours.
