Man heeft mij een maand geleden spontaan verwend met een aantal lakjes van Catrice. Hij ging de boodschappen doen met de kinderen en Dochter wist dat ik ernaar had gekeken. Prompt kwamen ze er mee thuis! Vandaag laat ik van drie kleurtjes de swatches zien. About a month ago Husband bought me a couple of polishes by Catrice. Tenminste ik vind het ouderwets, omdat toen ik als kind wel eens nagellak opkreeg het meestal dit soort kleuren waren! Net als vroeger zie je wat kwastsporen, maar gelukkig stinkt het veel minder. Vandaag heb ik voor het laatst lootjes getrokken om een nail art te maken met de kleuren van het lente/zomer palette van Pantone. Ik moet zeggen dat ik niet zo blij was met mijn lootje 😫 Ik heb namelijk Nile Green getrokken. Voor deze kleur had ik mijn match gevonden in Sally Hansen Sugar Coat 600 Sour Apple, die voor mij in de categorie valt van de #ArchiveAtrocities. Today is my final draw to make a nail art with the colours of the spring/summer palette of Pantone. I have to confess I am not too happy with my draw 😫 It is Nile Green. To match this colour I used one of my #ArchiveAtrocities, Sally Hansen Sugar Coat 600 Sour Apple. Om er maar het beste van te maken heb ik er Arcadia (Catrice ICONails gel lacquer 13 Mermaday Mayday) bijgepakt en een stempelplaat met allemaal bladeren. Vandaag heb ik een nieuw lootje getrokken uit mijn potje met alle kleurtjes van het Pantone palet voorjaar 2018. Dit keer is het Blooming Dahlia. Dit vond ik zo’n lief en zoet kleurtje, dat ik besloot mijn ontwerp in die richting te doen. Today I made a new draw from my jar with all the colours of the Pantone seasonal palette spring 2018. This time it is Blooming Dahlia. This is such a cute and sweet colour, that I decided to incorporate that in my design. Ik vond het moeilijk om binnen het seizoenspalet een passende kleur te vinden. Uiteindelijk heb ik gekozen voor (mijn iets donkerdere interpretatie van) Spiced Apple. Ik zag een andere combinatie, maar die vond ik mooier met kleurtjes die niet in mijn Pantone selectie zaten. Dus die komt later deze week voorbij. 😁 It was difficult to match this shade with another colour within the seasonal palette. Deze week is het thema bij #wirlackierendenSommerbunt door Iris van PinselPoesie en Anna van @aenn.es “Fernweh”. Ik heb dat vertaald als “reislust”. Een leuk thema in de zomerperiode! En ook één waar ik wat bij kan vertellen. Dus hebben we zomaar een blog post midden in de week. Bruine nagels in de zomer?

Ik mis de Pantone challenge. Zo dat is er uit! Het was zo leuk om iedere week weer door de nagellak collectie te gaan en daar de beste match te zoeken. Daarom heb ik besloten om nu een maand lang elke zondag met de nagellak kleurtjes die ik heb gekozen voor de Pantone challenge nail art te maken. Ik heb lootjes gemaakt en trek iedere keer een kleur van het palet en ga er mee aan de slag. Ik mag van mijzelf de kleur aanvullen met andere opties uit het seizoenspalet. Als eerste heb ik getrokken… Emperador. Bruine nagels in de zomer, dat is wel een uitdaging! I miss the Pantone challenge. So, I said it out loud! En weer is er een maand voorbij! Hier is mijn vorige Pantone update post. Maar nu is het tijd om te kijken naar de kleuren van deze maand. Another month has gone by! Here is my last Pantone update post. Now it is time to look at the colours of this month. In juni zijn de volgende kleuren voorbij gekomen: Blooming Dahlia, Sailor Blue, Spring Crocus en Lime Punch. Als bonus laat ik ook de kleuren zien die ik had gemist: Meadowlark en Cherry Tomato. Mei is voorbijgevlogen! Ik heb weer een update van de Pantone challenge. Mijn eerste post is hier en de tweede hier. May has gone so quickly! I have another update of the Pantone challenge. The first post is here and the second is here. In Mei zijn de volgende kleuren langsgekomen: Coconut Milk, Palace Blue, Warm Sand en Arcadia. Vorige week heb ik al verteld dat ik een nieuw merk stempelplaat had gekocht: Moyou London. Deze week heb ik met deze stempelplaat een heel andere manicure gemaakt. Het neutrale grijs paste heel goed bij mijn activiteiten van afgelopen week, nu had ik zin in meer kleur! Lente bloesem kleuren! Last week I wrote that I bought a new stamping plate: a Moyou London plate. This week I made a completely different manicure with this plate. Op Instagram doe ik mee aan de #itpantone2018 challenge die georganiseerd wordt door @thenailpolishhoarder. Ik houd al jaren de Pantone seizoenskleuren bij, dus ik was heel blij toen ik deze challenge ontdekte! De eerste drie rondes had ik helaas gemist, dat waren Ultra Violet, (paars, de jaarkleur), Meadowlark (geel) en Cherry Tomato (rood). Inmiddels heb ik vijf weken meegedaan en wil ik op de blog de prachtige inspiratie collages van TheNailPolishHoarder laten zien en mijn swatches van kleurtjes uit mijn collectie. Ik was eens aan het rommelen in mijn nagellak collectie toen ik deze combinatie van kleurtjes eruit haalde. Ik had hier wel zin in! I was going through my nail polish stash and picked this combination of colours from it. I like it!
