Een van de lakken in het Valentijns kado aan mijzelf was Masura She Meets The Sunrises. Ik vind het dragen van thermal nagellakken het leukst in warm (maar niet te heet) weer. Want dan zie ik de meeste kleurwisselingen. Bij heet weer zie ik alleen de warme staat en bij koud weer alleen de koude staat. Maar bij warm weer wisselt het bij mij nog het meest. One of the polishes in the Valentine’s gift to myself was Masura She Meets The Sunrises. I prefer wearing thermal nail polishes with warm (not hot) weather. With warm weather I have the most changes in the colours. Hot weather only gives me the hot state and cold weather the cold state of the polish. Ik draag twee laagjes met topcoat. De nagellak kan in de warme staat (en lichtste kleur) hier en daar nog een derde laagje gebruiken. Maar ik vond het niet storend. De kleuren gaan van een Bordeaux rood naar een neutrale roze. De nagellak heeft een shimmer die mij wat brons naar roze overkomt. …

Deze ronde van When Colours Collide had de thema kleuren Pastel roze en Donkergroen. Dit heb ik ermee gemaakt. This round of When Colours Collide had the theme colours Pastel Pink and Dark Green. This is what I made. Als basis gebruikte ik essence 55 be awesome tonight! Deze dekt volledig in twee laagjes. Het is een oudje, maar ik gebruik hem graag. Daarover stempelde ik met een donkergroene stempellak van KADS met een afbeelding met cactussen en kleine hartjes. As base I used essence 55 be awesome tonight! I painted two coats for full coverage. It’s an older polish, but I still love using it. On top I stamped an image with cactuses and small hearts with a dark green stamping polish by KADS. Multichrome and Black

Deze ronde van When Colours Collide had de thema kleuren Multichrome en Zwart. Een heerlijk excuus om Ophelia van Wikkid weer eens te dragen. De combinatie multichrome en zwart is al eens eerder gedaan. Dat kan je hier zien. This round of When Colours Collide had the theme colours Multichrome and Black. It was the perfect excuse to wear Wikkid polish Ophelia again. The combination multichrome and black has been done before. You can see it here. Ik bracht twee laagjes Ophelia aan op alle nagels. En ik stempelde erover met zwart. Met een beetje ongemakkelijke handpose kon ik alle kleuren op de foto krijgen. Op de middelste nagels kreeg ik de shift blauw en paars. Because on Mother’s Day you give … flowers! Ik koos groen als basiskleur met licht paars op de accentnagel. Op de groene nagels stempelde ik een patroon met blaadjes en blokjes. Het was een beetje priegelen, maar het lukte mij dan om de blaadjes met groene stempellak en de blokjes met paarse stempellak te krijgen. De laatste ronde van When Colours Collide was met de thema kleuren Donkerblauw, Wit en Oranje. Dit heb ik ermee gedaan. Last round of When Colours Collide had the theme colours Dark blue, White and Orange. This is what I was inspired to make. Als basis gebruikte ik witte nagellak van Essence. Daarover stempelde ik via de reverse stamping methode ingekleurde bloemen in blauw en oranje. As base I used white nail polish by Essence. On top I stamped through reverse stamping blue and orange flowers. Net als vorig jaar is Koningsdag in 2021 aangepast ivm de pandemie. Daarom heb ik een extra vrolijke nail art gemaakt. Just like last year King’s Day is scaled down in 2021 due to the pandemic. So I made an extra happy nail art. Ik ben voor holografisch oranje gegaan! En een grappige smiley van een oude stamping plate. Mijn accent nagel heeft een beetje rood, wit, een beetje blauw en oranje. Alle nationale kleuren. Het is heerlijk zonnig, dus ik kon de holo ook op de foto krijgen. I chose a holographic orange nail polish! And a funny smiley face from an old stamping plate. In my accent nail I managed to get all the national colours: a bit of red, white, a bit of blue and orange. The weather is sunny, so I managed to show off the holo on the picture. Vandaag heb ik subtiele roze lentenagels voor jullie. Today I have subtle pink spring nails for you. Als basis gebruikte ik twee laagjes Catrice More than Nude 08 Shine Pink Like A … en een laagje Catrice x Kaviar gauche C04 Rose d’Or. Hierdoor kregen de nagels een roze gloed met ook klein beetje gouden shimmer. Alleen zie je er niets van op de foto. Daarna stempelde ik steeds dezelfde afbeelding in een gradient over de vingers. Eerst wit, dan lichtroze, dan middenroze en tot slot dieproze. The base was created with two coats of Catrice More than Nude 08 Shine Pink Like A … and one coat of Catrice x Kaviar gauche C04 Rose d’Or. This gave the nails in the sunlight a pink glow with a bit of golden shimmer. It sadly didn’t show up in the pictures. Then I stamped the same image from light to dark. Wit, grijs en roze

Deze keer bij When Colours Collide is het thema Wit, Grijs en Roze. Ik heb mij laten inspireren door een dekbedovertrekset. Dit is wat ik heb gemaakt. This time with When Colours Collide the theme was White, Grey and Pink. I was inspired by a bed spread. This is what I made. Als basis gebruikte ik witte nagellak van Essence. Ik heb mijn vorige potje Wild White Ways nog niet op, maar was nieuwsgierig naar de versie in de Shine last & go uitvoering. Ik ben er heel blij mee. Twee makkelijk aan te brengen laagjes voor goede dekking. Erover heen stempelde ik rozen in roze en grijs. Ik had mij laten inspireren door een dekbed overtrekset, waarbij de rozen niet helemaal perfect zijn. Het lukte niet altijd, maar de meeste rozen zijn inderdaad niet perfect opgepakt. Ik had daarvoor ook een oude stempel gepakt die niet meer helemaal lekker werkt. As base I used white nail polish by Essence. Deze Pasen ging ik voor lentegroen. This Easter I chose a fresh spring green. Als basis koos ik OPI Gargantuan Green Grape met erover in groen gestempelde takjes. Op mijn accent nagel gebruikte ik OPI Closer Than You Might Belem met een in goud gestempelde paaseieren, die ik op mijn stempel heb ingekleurd. As base I used OPI Gargantuan Green Grape with green twigs stamped on top. On the accent nail I used OPI Closer Than You Might Belem with stamped Easter eggs in gold. I coloured the eggs on my stamper before placing on the nail. Deze ronde van When Colours Collide had de thema kleuren Geel, Paars en Zwart. Eerst dacht ik aan lente en Pasen, maar uiteindelijk koos ik toch een meer abstracte vorm. This round of When Colours Collide had the theme colours Yellow, Purple and Black. At first I thought about doing something with spring or Easter, but in the end I chose for more of an abstract nail art. Ik koos geel als de basiskleur en alle nagels kregen twee laagjes Catrice ICONails 68 Turn the lights on. Daarover bracht ik eerst wat paarse vegen aan (dry brush) en daarna stempelde ik er in zwart takjes over. I chose to use yellow as my base colour and all nails received two coats of Catrice ICONails 68 Turn the lights on. Then I added the purple dry brush and then I stamped an image of twigs in black.
