Het is bijna Halloween! Ik zal eerlijk bekennen dat ik niet zo veel met dit feest heb. Ik bewonder de griezelige kunstwerken op nagels op instagram, maar ik heb zelf geprobeerd het wat minder griezelig te houden. It’s almost Halloween. Het is herfstvakantie en de kinderen hebben vrij. We zijn niet op vakantie, maar hebben wat leuke dingen gepland om te doen. Een ervan is een uitstapje met de museumjaarkaarten die we hebben. Om in stijl op pad te kunnen, vroeg dochter of ik eindelijk wat ging maken met het herfst lint dat ik vorig jaar al had gekocht. Ieder jaar maak ik nail art in de herfst met de kleuren grijs en donkerrood. Ik weet niet waarom deze combinatie mij zo aanspreekt, maar als ik er iets over zou moeten zeggen denk ik dat het een combinatie is van de grijze luchten en de donkerrode verkleurde bladeren. Vorige week liet ik jullie swatches zien van de nieuwe Catrice nagellak die ik heb gekregen van Man. Voor vandaag heb ik er een herfstige nail art meegemaakt. Door al het uitzonderlijke mooie weer had ik er eerder nog geen zin in! Last week I showed you some swatches of the new Catrice nail polishes Husband bought me. Vandaag laat ik een foil nail art zien met Catrice ICONails 61 Me, Myself and My Polish. Ik heb mij aangemeld bij een collab groep voor foil nail art nu ik weer in het bezit ben van foil glue! Deze groep is georganiseerd door Lisa. Dit is ook de laatste aflevering in de serie met de spullen uit de grote verjaardag giveaway van @maggie_jmr. Man heeft mij een maand geleden spontaan verwend met een aantal lakjes van Catrice. Hij ging de boodschappen doen met de kinderen en Dochter wist dat ik ernaar had gekeken. Prompt kwamen ze er mee thuis! Vandaag laat ik van drie kleurtjes de swatches zien. About a month ago Husband bought me a couple of polishes by Catrice. Afgelopen week is Dochter negen jaar geworden. Zoals ieder jaar heb ik voor haar een passend haarspeldje voor bij haar verjaardagsjurk gemaakt. Toch is dat niet wat ik vandaag laat zien. Al rommelend door haar doos met haarspelden kwam ik dit setje tegen met balletschoenen. Ik heb dit voor haar vijfde verjaardag gemaakt, alweer vier jaar geleden. En het deed iets met me. Last week Daughter turned nine years old. Like every year I made a hair accessory that matched her birthday dress. But I won’t show that today. I was going through her box of hair clips and found this set floral hair bows with ballet shoes. I made them when she turned five years old, four years ago. And it touched me. Ik moest denken aan het vijfjarige kleutermeisje dat haar zinnen had gezet op balletclipjes. Ik heb heel hard mijn best moeten doen om iets met balletschoenen te vinden. Vandaag laat ik jullie Wikkid polish I’m a magpie for pretties zien. Het is zo’n prachtige nagellak zoals je ze alleen bij Indie merken ziet. De basiskleur is lichtpaars en het zit vol shimmer, flakies, holo en glitter. Today I show you Wikkid polish I’m a magpie for pretties. It’s a beautiful polish that you will only find with Indie labels. The base colour is light purple and it’s full with shimmer, flakies, holo and glitter. Man vond de nagellak druk, ik vooral heel mooi. Dit is ze in indirect licht, hier kan je de flakies mooi zien. Husband thought that this polish had a lot going on, I just loved it. Really loved it. Here she is in indirect light, showing of the flakies. In direct zonlicht zie je de holo het beste. You can see the holo the best in direct sunlight. Ik heb deze maand mij opgegeven voor een aantal challenges. Om te beginnen heb ik mee gedaan aan de Essence collab groep. Deze maand maakten we een nail art in herfststijl met dus nagellak van Essence. Ik heb een dry brush gemaakt en daaroverheen een uiltje gezet. Ik heb de uil op de stempel ingekleurd en daarna op de nagel gezet. Daarbij heb ik ook Kinetics GlitterStorm gebruikt. This month I will participate in a number of challenges. For a start I participated in the Essence collab group. This month the assignment was to make a mani in fall theme. Of course we have to use items from Essence. I made a dry brush mani and reverse stamped an owl on it. I coloured the owl on the stamper before I placed it on the nail. Wikkid polish is een Brits indie merk. Dit merk is nieuw voor mij en ik heb het gewonnen bij de grote verjaardag giveaway van @maggy_jmr. Zoals ik altijd doe bij een nieuw merk, kijk ik op Google wat ik kan vinden. Over Wikkid leerde ik dat de eigenaresse Sarah heet en dat alle lakken dierproefvrij en veganistisch zijn. Daarbij voldoen de formuleringen ook aan de Europese standaarden. Wikkid polis is a UK based indie brand. It’s a new-to-me polish brand that I won at the birthday giveaway of @maggy_jmr. Like I always do with a new brand, is a quick google search. I learned about Wikkid that the owner is named Sarah and that all polishes are cruelty free, vegan and comply with EU standards.  Wikkid polish Weirdo’s in the disco Hier zie je twee laagjes van Wikkid polish Weirdo’s in the disco.
