Treasures lost under the sea

To celebrate 1k followers@thenailpolishhoarder has a giveaway with the theme “Treasures lost under the sea”. My first thought was pirates! And the hunt for lost pirate treasures! To set myself an extra challenge I decided to do a one label only mani (except for stamping polish). In my collection of plates I found a Dashica SdP plate with a pirate theme and I found a BornPretty plate with wave-like swirls. And in the stash the label of choice became OPI because of all the beautiful blue shades I own. Vandaag is het Koningsdag! Ik post nu even snel mijn nagels, want zometeen gaan we naar de vrijmarkt en de kermis! Today is King’s Day! I do a quick post of my nails, because in a moment we are going to the flea market and fair! De kleurtjes van deze manicure zijn niet echt origineel: oranje, rood, wit en blauw. Toch is het wel grappig hoe ik op het idee kwam, namelijk door de display van Essie met de koningsdag selectie in de drogist. Ik onderdrukte de neiging om deze nagellakken te kopen en ging bij thuiskomst shoppen in de stash. The colours of this manicure are not really surprising: orange, red, white and blue. Vorige week heb ik al verteld dat ik een nieuw merk stempelplaat had gekocht: Moyou London. Deze week heb ik met deze stempelplaat een heel andere manicure gemaakt. Het neutrale grijs paste heel goed bij mijn activiteiten van afgelopen week, nu had ik zin in meer kleur! Lente bloesem kleuren! Last week I wrote that I bought a new stamping plate: a Moyou London plate. This week I made a completely different manicure with this plate. The neutral grey of last week fitted the activities I had, but today I was in the mood for colour! Spring blossom colours! Mijn eerste MoYou plaat 1

Nu ik de stap heb gemaakt naar online, kom ik een heleboel nieuwe ideeën tegen. In mijn collectie stempelplaten zit veel Dashica en BornPretty. Maar daar is nu een nieuw merk bijgekomen: ik heb mijn eerste MoYou London plaat gekocht! I have come across a lot of new ideas now I that I have taken the step to go online. I have many stamping plates by Dashica and BornPretty in my collection. And now a new label has joined: I bought my first MoYou London plate! De stempels op deze plaat zijn vrij klein. Ideaal als je kortere nagels hebt zoals ik, voor langere nagels zijn er XL versies. The stamps on this plate are small. Ideal for short nails, for longer nails they have XL versions. Ik kreeg inspiratie voor twee verschillende nail arts. Deze week laat ik de eerste zien. I was immediately inspired to do two different nail arts. This week I will show you the first one. Hot pink

Soms heb je zin om een niet subtiel kleurtje te dragen en dat heel subtiel te versieren. Sometimes you just fancy wearing a not so subtle colour with very subtle art. Ik werd er gewoon blij van toen ik het net op had gedaan. Ik had dit weekeinde de kolder in mijn kop en rondom het huis heel veel werk gedaan. Lente kriebels en dus ook lente schoonmaak in de tuin! Dat zie je ook aan mijn handen. Maar met trouw smeren, zullen mijn handen zo weer zacht zijn. I was just happy when I saw the result. I have had some mad days where I did a lot of work around the house. It starts to feel like spring and I worked hard on the garden cleanup for spring! It shows on my hands. I promise to moisturise them regularly. That way my hands will be soft again soon. Vrolijk Pasen allemaal! Voor Pasen wilde ik met zachte pastels werken. Ik vind dat gewoon bij Pasen passen! Net als eieren, paasontbijt en chocola. Happy Easter everyone! For my Easter manicure I wanted to work with soft pastels. I think that it suits with Easter! Just like eggs, Easter breakfast and chocolate. Ik koos deze kleurtjes voor de basis. Ik was eens aan het rommelen in mijn nagellak collectie toen ik deze combinatie van kleurtjes eruit haalde. Ik had hier wel zin in! I was going through my nail polish stash and picked this combination of colours from it. I like it! Ok, ik woon in Nederland en vier geen St. Patrick’s, maar de groene kleurtjes geven zo’n fijn lente gevoel! Blauwe druifjes

Na de Siberische kou van februari, gaan de bollen gelukkig al snel weer wat kleur aan de wereld geven! Ik heb krokussen, narcissen en blauwe druifjes gezien. Dus besloot ik ook wat lente op mijn nagels te stempelen. After the Siberian chill of februari, the flower bulbs are quickly giving some colour to the world! I have seen crocuses, daffodils and muscari. So I decided to stamp some spring on my nails. Ik heb alle nagels gelakt met Essie Gel Couture stitch by stitch en op de accent nagel OPI Unfrost My Heart. Met twee kleurtjes heb ik drie keer de blauwe druifjes op mijn nagels gestempeld. Ik heb geen clean up gedaan, dus je ziet nog een beetje groen van de blaadjes op mijn vinger. Geen zorgen, een keer handen wassen en dat is eraf. Treat, love & color

Soms heb je een kleurtje nodig dat alles in een is en iedereen blij maakt. Voor mij is dat Essie TLC  in sheers to you. Sometimes you need a colour that is all-in-one and makes everybody happy. For me that is Essie TLC sheers to you. Ik heb drie laagjes opgebracht, geen base, geen top. Omdat het anders wel heel braaf en saai is, heb ik nog een stempel van een gestileerde tulp erop gezet. I painted three layers, no base, no top. To prevent it from being too plain and boring, I stamped a stylised tulip on it. Producten die ik heb gebruikt: Essence colour boost 01 Instant friendship (Essence die wel lekker stempelt!), Essie Treat Love & Color sheers to you en Dashica plaat SdP-81.
