Het jaar startte stormachtig en werd daarna opgevolgd met veel mist en bewolking. Maar wellicht was er toch vaker zon dan ik mij herinner. Voor mijn gevoel was het in ieder geval een hele grijze maand. In navolging van Instagram ga ik dit jaar over op een nieuwe verhouding van mijn foto’s. Ik ga het de eerste maanden uitproberen en kijken hoe mij dit bevalt. Alle manicures zijn deze maand gedragen met base coat en top coat. The year started off with stormy weather and then followed cloudy and foggy weather. Maybe there was more sun than I remember. But I felt that it was a very grey and overcast month. Following up on the changes that Instagram made with the new picture format, I will be doing the same. I will try it the first months of the year and I will evaluate if I will keep it this way. December is een feestmaand met Sinterklaas, Kerst en Oudjaar. Elke manicure heeft deze maand wat nail art gehad. Het weer was deze maand erg grijs. Daardoor was het moeilijk om foto’s te maken van de holografische eigenschappen van de nagellakken. Maar onder onze keukenlampen zag ik vaak wel de sparkles. Alle nagellakken zijn gedragen met base coat en top coat, tenzij anders vermeld. December is a month filled with holidays. First it’s Saint Nicholas, then Christmas and finally New Year’s Eve. Every manicure this month had some nail art. The weather was very overcast this month. That made it difficult to photograph holographic properties of nail polishes. But in my house I could still enjoy the sparkles under the kitchen lights. All nail polishes are worn with base coat and top coat, unless otherwise stated. Deze maand heb ik iets meer manicures gedragen dan gemiddeld. In eerste instantie was herfst nog niet aan de orde aan het begin van de maand, maar de tweede helft van de maand had meer traditioneel herfstweer met koelere temperaturen en regen. Hierdoor kreeg ik echt zin om mijn herfstkleuren te dragen. This month I wore slightly more manicures than average. At the start of the month the weather was still warm so it did not feel like fall yet, but the second half of the month had traditional fall weather. That change in the weather motivated me to start wearing my autumn selection. BKL Bee’s Knees Lacquer You Can Bury Your Own Nuts! De maand startte met de verjaardag van Dochter. Zij koos voor mij deze nagellak van BKL, omdat ze houdt van deze tint paars. Ik draag twee laagjes met top coat. The month started with Daughter’s birthday. Deze maand is het mij gelukt om gemiddeld twee keer per week mijn nagels te lakken. Bereid je voor op een lange blog post! This month I managed to change my nails about twice a week. So prepare for a long blog post! Catrice Spectra Light 02 Iridescent Illusion with A England The Wizard Holo Topcoat Mijn eerste manicure van de maand was een wat oudere nagellak van Catrice. Namelijk uit de Spectra Light lijn, die volgens mij uit 2018 is. De nagellak brengt prima aan en is dekkend in twee laagjes. Het is een roze parelmoer nagellak met een duochrome shimmer. De shimmer is blauw naar geel. Daarnaast heb je nog de zilveren parelmoer. Dus afhankelijk van de lichtval is er steeds iets anders op je nagels te zien. Voor nog wat extra sprankel heb ik het de holo topcoat van A England aangebracht. My first manicure this month was an older polish by Catrice. Deze maand hadden we twee feestdagen, namelijk Pasen en Koningsdag. Altijd leuk om dan wat extra’s op de nagels te dragen in vorm van nail art. Ook de rest van de maand heb ik ook zo op zijn tijd wat nail art gedaan. With Easter and King’s Day we had two fun holidays this month to do some nail art. I also tried to wear some nail art in between. Catrice More than Nude translucent effect nail polish 02 Glitter Is The Answer Ik starte de maand met een neutrale kleur. Deze nagellak van Catrice More than Nude heeft een grovere shimmer en geeft een parelmoerachtig effect zonder dat je sporen van de kwast ziet. Ik draag hier drie laagjes met base en top coat. I started the month with a neutral colour. This nail polish by Catrice More than Nude has a larger shimmer particle. That gives the polish a pearl effect without visible brush strokes. Februari is de maand voor Valentijns nagels. Ik zal maar meteen laten zien wat ik deze maand heb gedragen. February is the month for Valentines nails. Let’s look at what I wore this month. Catrice More Than Nude 12 Glowing Rose with topper and accent nail Mijn eerste manicure van de maand is met een nieuwe nagellak van Catrice. Ik heb meteen een online bestelling geplaatst voor zes lakken, toen ik de nieuwe lente/zomer collectie zag voor 2023. Een van de nieuwe lakken die ik heb besteld is Catrice ICONails 147 Glitter N’Rosé. Deze lak is een jelly (transparant, niet dekkend) in een warme roze tint met gouden flakes. Hij deed mij denken aan Catrice More Than Nude 12 Glowing Rose. Dit is een warmroze lak met gouden shimmer. Ik besloot uiteindelijk eerst twee laagjes van Glowing Rose aan te brengen met daarover een laagje Glitter N’Rosé. Als accent nagel viste ik twee hartjes uit Revlon Hearts of Gold FX nadat ik eerst een laagje van de fijne glitters had aangebracht. De hartjes zijn holografisch, …

Er is weer een maand voorbij, tijd om te laten zien wat ik op mijn nagels heb gedragen! Another month has passed, time to show you what I wore on my nails! Masura 1500 An ingot of tenderness Ik begon de maand met een neutrale kleur waar iets extra’s mee was. Namelijk in deze Masura nagellak zijn gouden flakes toegevoegd. Oktober is voorbij gevlogen. Tijd om jullie te laten zien welke nagellakken ik heb gedragen. October flew by fast. It’s already time to show you the polishes I wore. Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer 92 Nude Not Prude Ik eindigde september met donkergroene nagellak en moest even een paar dagen “neutraliseren” voordat ik wist welke kleur ik wilde dragen. Dat deed ik met Nude Not Prude van Catrice. Ik draag twee laagjes over base coat met top coat. Ik droeg het maar een paar dagen. I ended September with dark green polish and I needed something as a neutraliser before I could pick a new colour. I chose Nude Not Prude from Catrice for that job. I’m wearing two coats with base coat and top coat. I only wore it for a couple of days. Masura 1323 Fluffy Plaid with fall accent nail Ik koos voor Masura Fluffy Plaid als mijn volgende kleur. Hallo mensen! Het is alweer even geleden dat ik een nieuwe post heb geschreven. Na de zomervakantie is het nieuwe schooljaar gestart volgens het normale programma en schema. Dat betekent dat de agenda ook weer net zo vol zit als voor corona. En daar moeten we nog aan wennen. Ik heb nog volop plannen voor de blog, maar ik weet even niet hoe ik daar vroeger de tijd voor vrijmaakte! Hello people! It’s been awhile since I wrote a new blog post. After the summer holidays the new school year started with all the extra activities like before COVID. So the weekly schedule is back like it used to be. And we need some time to get adjusted to it. In deze post heb ik een aantal swatches en een nail art van – voor mij – nieuwe nagellakken van essence. In this post I show some swatches and a nail art of new-to-me polishes by essence. Essence shine last & go gel nail polish 64 Ready for it Ready for it heeft een lichte shimmer, maar op de nagels is dit nauwelijks zichtbaar. Het maakt de kleur wel iets interessanter. Hier zijn twee laagjes en top coat. Ready for it has a bit of pink shimmer, but on the nails it’s barely visible. It just makes the colour a bit more interesting. I’ve painted two coats with top coat. Essence shine last & go gel nail polish 70 Sunset lover Sunset lover kwam met een sticker “Your perfect nude shade”. Twee laagjes met top coat.
