In deze post heb ik een aantal swatches en een nail art van – voor mij – nieuwe nagellakken van essence.

Essence shine last & go gel nail polish 64 Ready for it

Ready for it heeft een lichte shimmer, maar op de nagels is dit nauwelijks zichtbaar. Het maakt de kleur wel iets interessanter. Hier zijn twee laagjes en top coat.

Ready for it has a bit of pink shimmer, but on the nails it’s barely visible. It just makes the colour a bit more interesting. I’ve painted two coats with top coat.

Essence shine last & go gel nail polish 70 Sunset lover

Sunset lover kwam met een sticker “Your perfect nude shade”. Twee laagjes met top coat. Dit potje had een perfecte kwast en lakte als een droom.

Sunset lover came with a sticker on the cap: Your perfect nude shade. I’m showing two coats with top coat. This polish came with a perfect brush and is painted like a dream.

Essence shine last & go gel nail polish 80 Castles in the sand

Nog eentje met de sticker “Your perfect nude shade”. Castles in the sand past beter bij mijn koelere ondertoon. Dit was meer een crelly dan een cream formule. Wederom twee laagjes en top coat, maar een derde laagje zal bij langere nagels nodig zijn. De kleur leek veel op Catrice More Than Nude nail polish 07 Nudie Beautie, maar dan minder transparant.

Another one with the sticker on the cap: Your perfect nude shade. Castles in the sand is better suited for my cool leaning undertones. It had more of a crelly formula than a cream. I painted two coats with top coat, but with longer nails a third coat could be necessary. Reminded me a lot of Catrice More Than Nude nail polish 07 Nudie Beautie (but less sheer)

Essence shine last & go gel nail polish 68 A star is born

A star is born is een effect topper. Het is een transparante nagellak met flakes. Ik laat hier twee laagjes zien op zichzelf en over de zojuist getoonde lakjes. Zoals je ziet komen de flakes niet altijd en gelijke aantallen mee, maar ik kreeg wel inspiratie voor een nail art.

A star is born is an effect topper. It’s a transparent polish filled with iridescent flakes. I’m showing two coats on it’s own and over the polishes I just swatched. You can see the flakes apply a bit random, but it gave me inspiration for a nail art.

Nail art met Essence shine last & go gel nail polish 79 Never let me down

Zoals ik net schreef kreeg ik het idee om A star is born op een andere manier te gebruiken. In plaats van twee laagjes, heb ik wat van de nagellak op een nail art mat gedaan en met een dotting tool de flakes gericht geplaatst waar ik ze wilde hebben. Als basis heb ik twee laagjes essence Never let me down aangebracht. Deze donkere kleur is ook beter als contrast voor de flakes. Als accent stempelde ik een gezellige schelpjes en zeesterren afbeelding.

As I just wrote, A star is born inspired me to use it in a different way for nail art. Instead of painting on two coats, I poured some on a nail art mat and placed the flakes where I wanted them on my nails with a dotting tool. As base I painted two coats of Never let me down. This darker shade provides better contrast to the iridescent flakes. As accent I stamped a fun sea shell image.
