De beste wensen voor het nieuwe jaar en heel veel gezondheid toegewenst! Natuurlijk heb ik vandaag mijn nagels gedaan. Dit jaar is het subtieler dan vorig jaar geworden 😁. I want to wish you all a very happy New Years Eve and a healthy 2020! And of course I’ve painted my nails for the event. It turned out a lot more subtle than last years nail art 😁 Als basis koos ik voor Essie Young, Wild and Me. Dit is een roze nagellak met een scheutje nude. Ik heb het ook gebruikt bij de spring/summer Pantone challenge 2019 als Pantone Pressed Rose. Op dit moment doe ik mee aan de Pantone challenge fall / winter van dit seizoen op mijn instagram. Vrolijk kerstmis allemaal! Hier zijn mijn kerstnagels voor dit jaar! Merry Christmas everyone! These are my Christmas nails for 2019! Net als vorig jaar heb ik bedacht dat het past bij mijn kleding. Dit jaar heb ik zwart aan met rode accenten. Dus ook rode nagels! Just like last year I took the inspiration for my nail art from my outfit. This year I’m wearing black with red accents. So I chose red for my nails! Ik had eerst gepland om Catrice Gold Effect 01 Attracting Pomp te gebruiken. Maar deze rood bleek te veel roze ondertonen te hebben, dus zocht ik verder in mijn collectie en werd het deze Essie. Hij heet Ring in the bling en het is een koele rood tint met gouden shimmer. Heel feestelijk! Op mijn ringvinger draag ik Essie Gold gilding. Dit is een bronzige goud met een sterke roze shimmer. Erover heen heb ik een kerstboom gestempeld. Ik heb door onze koperen bruiloft deze keer van When Colours Collide niet op tijd op de blog gekregen. Dus nu met wat vertraging! Het thema was Holo en Zwart. Because of the celebration of our Wedding Anniversary I lacked the time to write a post for this round of When Colours Collide. The theme colours were Holo and black. It’s been some weeks since I made this nail art, so let’s put it here! Het is helaas het verkeerde seizoen (bewolkt en regenachtig) om het holografische effect van deze nagellakken vast te leggen. Ik moest met lamplicht werken, vanwege het bewolkte en regenachtige weer. Als basis gebruikte ik Essie Of Quartz en ik kleurde de stempels in met Essie You’re A Gem en Wikkid Polish Helene (H). It’s sadly the wrong season to show holo in pictures (overcast skies and rainy weather). It was overcast and rainy all the time, so I had to work with artificial light. Deze collectie heb ik sinds de zomer. Ik kocht dit gelijk toen ik het kon! Sorry dus voor de mensen die hier ook zo hebberig van worden, ik weet dus niet of deze collectie nog te vinden is! I bought this collection early summer. I bought it immediately when I found it! I’m sorry if you also want to get it, because I don’t know if it’s still available! Rock your world Rock your world is een zilveren holografische nagellak. Volgens Essie heeft het beige in de basis, waardoor het wat warmer toont. Ik had het dekkend in drie laagjes. Ik laat alle lakken zien met top coat, omdat ze dan nog mooier schitteren in de zon. Rock your world is a silver holographic nail polish. According to Essie it has some beige in the base colour, that’s why it shows a bit of warmth. I had full coverage in three coats. Deze ronde van When Colours Collide is met de kleuren Zwart, Paars en Pastel Blauw. De inspiratiefoto was met rozen. Ik heb daar deze keer gebruik van gemaakt. This time with When Colours Collide it’s the colours Black, Purple and Pastel Blue. The inspiration picture was with roses. This time I used the inspiration picture for my nail art. Ik startte met twee paarse nagels en drie lichtblauwe. Op mijn lichtblauwe nagels sponsde ik wat paars en stempelde ik in zwart een afbeelding van wilde rozen. Helaas vlekte mijn topcoat de zwarte stempellak wat uit. I started with two purple nails and three in pastel blue. I sponged some purple on my pastel blue nails and stamped with black an image with wild roses. Sadly my top coat smudged the black stamping polish. Deze ronde van When Colours Collide is met de kleuren Turquoise, Geel en Roze. De admins wilden voor een 80s vibe gaan en ik heb mijn best gedaan daarmee iets te maken. This time with When Colours Collide it’s the colours Turquoise, Yellow and Pink. The admins wanted to create an 80s vibe and I tried to make a design to keep with the theme. Ik heb twee verschillende stempelplaten gebruikt voor dit ontwerp. Het gele vlak heb ik namelijk ook gestempeld. I used two different stamping plates for this design. I also stamped the yellow part. Deze ronde van When Colours Collide was met de kleuren Nude (neutraal, huidkleurig) en Goud. Ik heb een aantal favoriete merken voor nude kleuren en deze keer koos ik voor Essie. Om precies te zijn ik koos voor Essie Not just a pretty face. Zoals je straks op de overzichtsfoto kan zien, is deze nagellak regelmatig gebruikt. This round of When Colours Collide was with the colours Nude (neutral, skin tones) and Gold. I use a couple of nail polish brands for my favourite nudes. This time I went with Essie and to be more precise I went with Essie Not just a pretty face. At the end of this post on the materials used picture you can see I’ve used this polish already many times. Drie weken geleden schreef ik mijn vorige post over Polished Pantone SS19, de challenge die Julia @juliabrenchley en ik organiseren op instagram. Het is weer tijd voor een overzicht van de swatches van de kleuren van deze en tevens laatste periode. Na 9 intensieve weken waarin ik heel veel kleuren lakte, is de challenge alweer afgelopen! It’s been three weeks since I wrote on the blog about the Polished Pantone SS19 challenge that Julia @juliabrenchley and I are hosting on instagram. In this post I’ll walk you through all the swatches of the colours of this final period. After 9 weeks of lots of swatching the challenge has ended! Pantone Sweet Corn Als eerste is nog Pantone Sweet Corn. Dit is een van de neutrale kleuren van dit seizoen. Ik koos hierbij Catrice Luxury Nudes soft matt 01 White & Bright. Dit is een matte sneldrogende off-white nagellak van een limited edition collection van een paar jaar geleden. Het is erg streperig en daarom draag ik het nooit. De nagellak heeft een roze shimmer. Ik draag hier twee laagjes zonder top coat. …

Het is alweer twee weken verder, dus dat betekent dat er weer een nieuwe ronde van When Colours Collide is geweest. Deze keer was de opdracht alleen met pastels te werken. Het was even zoeken, maar gelukkig vond ik een aantal Essie’s een een stempellak die aan de opdracht voldeden. Het resultaat is deze hele zoete nail art. It’s been two weeks, so it’s time for a new round of When Colours Collide. This time the challenge was to use pastels only. It was a bit of a hunt through the collection and luckily I found a couple of Essie polishes and a stamping polishes that were true pastels. The result is this very sweet nail art. Ik heb als basis twee lagen Matter of fiction gelakt en daarover heen gesponsd met Baguette me not en Zip me up (allemaal van Essie).
