Afgelopen zomer heb ik een van mijn nagellakwensen in vervulling laten gaan. Ik heb een serie nagellakken van A-England besteld. Er was zoveel te vertellen op de blog dat ik er nu pas aan toe kom om er aandacht aan te geven. Vandaag laat ik de kleurtjes zien die ik het beste vind passen bij het herfst/winter seizoen. Helaas had ik geen zon op mijn swatch / fotodag, daarom zijn alle lakken bij bewolkt daglicht gefotografeerd. Dit betekend dat ik jullie niet de prachtige holo kan laten zien. Ik heb alle lakken in twee laagjes aangebracht met daarover een top coat.
Last summer I fulfilled one of my nail polish wishes by ordering some polishes by the indie brand A-England. I had so much to tell on the blog, that they had to wait until today for some well deserved attention. I will swatch my favourite five for autumn/ winter season. Unfortunately it was a cloudy day when I had time to photograph them, so it means I can’t show you their holographic glory in full sunshine. I painted them all on in two layers with top coat.
A-England Katherine of Aragon
Het indie merk A-England is Brits. De lakken worden in collecties uitgebracht, die geïnspireerd zijn op de Britse geschiedenis of klassieke Britse literatuur. Katherine of Aragon is een nagellak uit de Tudoresque collectie. Ik zal mijn best doen de kleur met woorden te beschrijven en dan kies ik ervoor om het te beschrijven als een amandelkleurige goudtint. De nagellak heeft fijne holografische glitters en kleine gouden flakies. Op de site van A-England zelf wordt de kleur beschreven als goud brokaat.
A-England is a British indie brand. All polishes are brought out in collections inspired by British history or classic British literature. Katherine of Aragon is a nail polish from the Tudoresque collection. It’s a colour that I find difficult to describe with words. I would say it’s an almond coloured gold shade. The nail polish had fine holographic glitter and small golden flakies. On the website of A-England it’s described as a gold brocade.
A-England Angel Grace
Deze lak komt uit de collectie Tennyson’s Romance. Het is de enige lak van deze vijf met een smalle kwast. De andere vier lakken hebben een brede kwast (waar ik dol op ben!). Angel Grace is een licht paarse kleur met holografische glitter.
This polish is from the Tennyson’s Romance collection. It’s the only polish of these five with a skinny brush. The other four had a wide paddle brush (which I love!). Angel Grace is a periwinkle with holographic glitter.
A-England Peaseblossom a Fairy
Peaseblossom a Fairy is een prachtige rozerode kleur uit de collectie Shakespeare’s Fairies. Er zitten holografische glitters en rozerode glitters is deze lak. Die laatste glitters geven de lak een hele mooie diepte. De kleur is vrijwel dekkend in een laagje, toch heb ik er twee opgebracht.
Peaseblossom a Fairy is a deep pinkish red shade from the Shakespeare’s Fairies collection. The polish had holographic glitter and deep pink iridescent glitter. The last glitter gives the polish depth and glow. It covers almost in one coat, but I still painted two.
A-England Katherine Parr
Katherine Parr is een prachtige blauwe kleur die ook uit de Tudoresque collectie komt. Ook deze lak heeft holografische glitter.
Katherine Parr is a beautiful blue shade, also from the Tudoresque collection. This polish had also holographic glitter.
A-England In Robe and Crown
Tot slot heb ik voor jullie de lak In Robe and Crown. Deze lak is weer uit de Tennyson’s Romance collectie. Dit is een hele donkere paars-roodbruine tint. Het deed mij het meest denken aan de schil van een aubergine, maar dan opgeleukt met holografische glitter. Deze lak dekte ook vrijwel in een laagje, toch heb ik ook hier twee laagjes aangebracht.
As last polish I’m showing In Robe and Crown. This is a polish from the Tennyson’s Romance collection. It’s a very dark purply redbrown shade. It reminded me of the peel of an eggplant, but than made pretty with holographic glitter. This polish covers almost in one coat, but again I painted two.
