De beste wensen voor het nieuwe jaar en heel veel gezondheid toegewenst! Natuurlijk heb ik vandaag mijn nagels gedaan. Dit jaar is het subtieler dan vorig jaar geworden 😁. I want to wish you all a very happy New Years Eve and a healthy 2020! And of course I’ve painted my nails for the event. It turned out a lot more subtle than last years nail art 😁 Als basis koos ik voor Essie Young, Wild and Me. Dit is een roze nagellak met een scheutje nude. Ik heb het ook gebruikt bij de spring/summer Pantone challenge 2019 als Pantone Pressed Rose. Op dit moment doe ik mee aan de Pantone challenge fall / winter van dit seizoen op mijn instagram. Ik ben dol op kerstmuziek! Ik word er ieder jaar weer blij van als de kerstmuziek op de radio komt. Ik wist dus meteen welk liedje ik wilde gebruiken toen de meiden van de (bi)Monthly Music Collab het volgende thema kozen, namelijk Kerst muziek. Ik koos voor Jingle Bell Rock. Tegelijk had ik dus ook al een hele lijst reserveliedjes, mocht plan A mislukken. I LOVE Christmas music! Each year when the radio stations start playing their Christmas music, I’m very happy! I knew right away which song I wanted to use when the girls from the (bi)Monthly Music Mani Collab chose the new theme: Christmas music. I chose Jingle Bell Rock. At the same time I kept a whole list as back ups, should my first choice fail. Jingle Bell Rock is gewoon een heel vrolijk kerstlied. Ik ben zelf iemand die alle uitvoeringen goed vind. Vrolijk kerstmis allemaal! Hier zijn mijn kerstnagels voor dit jaar! Merry Christmas everyone! These are my Christmas nails for 2019! Net als vorig jaar heb ik bedacht dat het past bij mijn kleding. Dit jaar heb ik zwart aan met rode accenten. Dus ook rode nagels! Just like last year I took the inspiration for my nail art from my outfit. This year I’m wearing black with red accents. So I chose red for my nails! Ik had eerst gepland om Catrice Gold Effect 01 Attracting Pomp te gebruiken. Maar deze rood bleek te veel roze ondertonen te hebben, dus zocht ik verder in mijn collectie en werd het deze Essie. Hij heet Ring in the bling en het is een koele rood tint met gouden shimmer. Heel feestelijk! Op mijn ringvinger draag ik Essie Gold gilding. Dit is een bronzige goud met een sterke roze shimmer. Erover heen heb ik een kerstboom gestempeld. Ik heb door onze koperen bruiloft deze keer van When Colours Collide niet op tijd op de blog gekregen. Dus nu met wat vertraging! Het thema was Holo en Zwart. Because of the celebration of our Wedding Anniversary I lacked the time to write a post for this round of When Colours Collide. The theme colours were Holo and black. It’s been some weeks since I made this nail art, so let’s put it here! Het is helaas het verkeerde seizoen (bewolkt en regenachtig) om het holografische effect van deze nagellakken vast te leggen. Ik moest met lamplicht werken, vanwege het bewolkte en regenachtige weer. Als basis gebruikte ik Essie Of Quartz en ik kleurde de stempels in met Essie You’re A Gem en Wikkid Polish Helene (H). It’s sadly the wrong season to show holo in pictures (overcast skies and rainy weather). It was overcast and rainy all the time, so I had to work with artificial light. Deze keer bij When Colours Collide was het thema Wit, Blauw en Zilver. Ik koos voor een winters design zonder sneeuwvlokken (daar ben ik nog niet aan toe). This round with When Colours Collide was White, Blue and Silver. I chose to make a wintery design without snowflakes (I’m not ready for those yet). Als basis gebruikte ik twee laagjes Revlon Spirit en een laagje Essie GC Lace to the Altar. Daarover stempelde ik deze twijgjes in een gradient van zilver naar metallic blauw. My base colour is two coats of Revlon Spirit and one coat of Essie Gel Couture Lace to the Altar. On top I stamped a gradient going from silver to metallic blue of twigs. Dit heb ik gebruikt: L’Oreal 819 Sublime Platine, L’Oreal 817 Saphir Treasure, Essie Gel Couture Lace to the Altar, Revlon 335 Spirit en Maniology stempelplaat BM-XL222. Wedding anniversary

Lieve mensen, ik moest vorig weekeinde even verstek laten gaan, maar dat had een mooie reden! We hebben onze koperen bruiloft gevierd. Dat betekent dat we al 12,5 jaar getrouwd zijn! Dear readers, I have been absent for a short period. But that was for a very nice reason: we celebrated our copper wedding anniversary! It means that we are married for 12,5 years! This milestone is very much a celebration in The Netherlands. And in our family that means a (small) party…! Natuurlijk had ik mijn nagels speciaal gelakt voor de gelegenheid. Ik hield het eenvoudig: neutrale basis en een stempel van hartjes in koper. Als neutrale basis gebruikte ik Masura 1255 Jasmine Honey. De hartjes zijn van Dashica stempelplaat SdP-33 en ik gebruikte Catrice ICONails 58 Good Nails Only als stempellak. Of course did I wear polished nails that fitted the occasion. Nadat ik bij het swatchen van deze collectie had gemerkt dat sommige lakken zo goed gepigmenteerd waren, was ik nieuwsgierig of ik er ook mee zou kunnen stempelen. After swatching this collection and noticing the pigmentation in some of the polishes, I was curious if I could also stamp with these polishes. En zoals je ziet, ja dat kan! Als basis gebruikte ik Catrice Pure Simplicity LE C02 Naked Petals. Op mijn wijsvinger en middelvinger stempelde ik met Catrice Pure Simplicity LE C01 Rosy Verve en op mijn ringvinger en pink Catrice Pure Simplicity LE C04 Moody Plum. Rosy Verve en Moody Plum pakten goed op en hebben voldoende pigment om een duidelijke stempel te maken. Ik heb niet echt over een design gedacht, maar gewoon heerlijk wat plaatjes uitgeprobeerd van een nieuwe stempelplaat van KADS. And yes they stamp! Deze keer bij When Colours Collide de kleuren waren Zwart, Goud en Zilver. Ik heb net een marble stempelplaat ontvangen, dus ik heb die ingewijd met deze kleuren. De nail art van vandaag is anders dan ik mij had voorgenomen. Dit komt doordat ik nog steeds boos ben op de automobilist die mij geen voorrang gaf en mij sneed. Hierdoor bracht hij niet alleen mij in gevaar, maar ook mijn kinderen die bij mij in de auto zaten! Ik wist ons alledrie veilig thuis te brengen, maar zat nog na te trillen van de schrik toen ik mijn nagels ging doen. Today’s nail art is different from the one I had planned to make. Oktober is de maand van Halloween, maar ook de maand van stoppen met roken (Stoptober) en aandacht voor borstkanker (Pinktober). Ik heb net als vorig jaar Pinktober met Halloween gecombineerd. En daarmee doe ik ook mee aan de oproep van Nails of Lizmo om zoveel mogelijk roze op je insta feed te laten zien. October is the month of Halloween, but also the month to stop with smoking (Stoptober) and breast cancer awareness (Pinktober). Just like last year I combined Pinktober with Halloween in this nail art. Also Nails of Lizmo dared us nail ladies to do a Pinktober challenge by showing as many pink mani’s in our insta feed as we could. Ik lakte mijn duim, wijsvinger en pink lichtroze met Essence shine last & go 04 millenial pink. Mijn middelvinger en ringvinger lakte ik een diepere roze kleur met OPI Infinite Shine Aurora Berry-alis.
