Ik heb mijn Pantone mani maar heel kort opgehad, om meteen door te lakken voor de #wirlackierendenSommerbunt challenge van Iris van PinselPoesie en Anna van @aenn.es . Ik wist niet zo goed hoe ik Nile Green moest inzetten voor een nautisch design. Het thema deze week is “Ahoi Kapitän!”

I will confess that I wore my Pantone mani very shortly. I directly went on to paint my nails for the #wirlackierendenSommerbunt challenge by Iris of PinselPoesie and Anna of @aenn.es . I just did not know how to use Nile Green for a nautical design. The theme this week is “Ahoi Kapitän!”

Ik moest er even voor zoeken, maar ik wist dat ik nog leuke nagelstickers had met onder andere ankers, stuurraden en kettingen. Ik koos er nog wat lekkere knalkleuren van essence bij en dit is het geworden:

I had to search through the nail art box, but I did find the fun nail art stickers I have with  anchors, wheels and chains. I chose some colours by essence and this is the result:

Bij dit ontwerp moest ik ook denken aan het dagje op het water dat ik afgelopen week gemaakt heb met het gezin. We hebben een fluisterboot gehuurd en wat afkoeling gezocht op het water. Het is ook zulk heet weer op het moment! We hebben een aantal uren heerlijk rondgedobberd en ik ben flink in de weer geweest met zonnebrand.

Doing this design I was thinking of the fun outing we did last week as a family. We rented an electric “whisper” boat for a day of cooling down on the water. It’s been crazy hot weather this week! We had a fun couple of hours on the water and I have been using a lot of sunscreen on myself and the kids.
