Ik had deze maand regelmatig tijd om mijn nagels te lakken. Laten we eens kijken wat ik allemaal heb gedragen. Alle lakken zijn gedragen met base coat en top coat, tenzij anders vermeld. Deze maand startte met de verjaardag van Dochter. De maand eindigde uiteraard met Halloween. Het weer was aanvankelijk rustig herfstweer, maar de maand eindigde met stormachtig herfstweer en veel regen. Ik kwam regelmatig aan het lakken van mijn nagels toe. De maand begon erg warm, maar daarna koelde het af en het eindigde met een periode van wisselvallig weer. Typisch Hollands zomerweer. Net voor het midden van de maand startte de schoolvakantie. Al met al kon ik regelmatig nagels lakken deze maand. Ik heb zelfs een paar keer neon nagellak gedragen. Ik draag elke manicure met base coat en top coat tenzij anders vermeld. The month started off really hot, but it cooled down. By the end of the month it was regularly rainy and rather cool for summertime. All with all a typical Dutch summer. Just before the middle of the month the summer school holidays started. I was able to paint my nails on a regular basis. I even wore a few neon nail polishes. Een nagellak alphabet is geen nieuw idee. Vooral op Instagram zijn er challenges te vinden die op alphabet gaan. Maar toen ik de video’s zag van Kae the Stephanie en Kokia Faina, was ik erg geïnspireerd om ook eens het alphabet te gebruiken. De regels zijn zo’n beetje om voor elke letter van het alphabet in je collectie een nagellak te vinden die een favoriet is of om andere redenen speciaal is. De eindselectie geeft dan inzicht in wat voor type nagellakken voor jou belangrijk zijn of van welke typen nagellak en kleuren je houdt. Ik vond deze video’s zo leuk, dat ik deze blog post doe. Mijn plan was geen nieuwe foto’s te maken voor deze blog en dat lukte bijna. Met veel plezier heb ik gezocht tussen mijn oude foto’s om mijn keuze voor alle letters van het alphabet te maken. Maart was niet mijn beste maand. Helaas was ik twee keer ziek deze maand. Ik begon de maand met griep. En richting het einde van de maand werd ik nog een keer ziek met een buikgriep. Gelukkig lukte het wel om regelmatig mijn nagellak te wisselen. Elke manicure was gedaan met base coat en top coat, tenzij ik anders vermeld. March was not the best month so far. In het laatste weekeinde van september hielpen wij vrienden met het sjouwen van verhuisdozen. Helaas brak ik hierbij een nagel, dus de maand oktober startte ik met korte nagels. Gelukkig groeide ze in de loop van de maand weer uit naar mijn vertrouwde (korte) lengte. Elke manicure is deze maand gedragen met base coat en top coat, tenzij anders vermeld. We helped our friends out with moving boxes in the last weekend of September. Of course I was clumsy and broke a nail. So I started October with nubbins. De maand Juli was een echte Hollandse zomermaand met regelmatig zomerse dagen afgewisseld met wisselvallige perioden. Toch gaf het weer ook inspiratie om zomerse nagellakken te dragen. Elke manicure is gedragen met base coat en top coat. July was a month with typical Dutch summer weather. We had sunny warm days and rainy and overcast days. Kruidvat high gloss Nail Color 170 neon raspberry De eerste manicure van de maand was met Kruidvat Nail Color 170 neon raspberry en Catrice ICONails 142 Rose Quartz. Beide nagellakken zijn in twee laagjes aangebracht. Kruidvat neon raspberry is dekkend genoeg om mee te stempelen. De afbeelding komt van KADS stempelplaat Flower 055. Masura Sakura is een thermal nagellak, dat betekent dat de kleur onder invloed van temperatuur veranderd. In het geval van Masura Sakura gaat de kleur van diep felroze (koud) naar lichtroze-bijna wit (warm). Masura Sakura is a thermal nail polish, which means that the colour changes depending on the temperature. In the case of Masura Sakura the colour changes between deep bright pink (cold state) to light pink-almost white (warm state). Naast dat de nagellak dus van kleur wisselt, heeft deze ook flakies en kleine roze glitters. De koude staat is zelfs iets donkerder dan de kleur in het flesje. Als accentnagels heb ik bloemen gestempeld in een dieproze kleur. Bij koude handen verdwijnen ze in de dieproze kleur. This nail polish is also filled with flakes and small pink glitters. Soms vraag ik thuis wat ik op mijn nagels zal doen. Vandaag kreeg ik daarop het antwoord van mijn zoon: blauw met bloemetjes! Nu is blauw een van zijn lievelingskleuren en niet heel verrassend als antwoord, maar de bloemetjes waren een onverwachte toevoeging. Dus met de opdracht blauw met bloemetjes ging ik iets maken.
