In het laatste weekeinde van september hielpen wij vrienden met het sjouwen van verhuisdozen. Helaas brak ik hierbij een nagel, dus de maand oktober startte ik met korte nagels. Gelukkig groeide ze in de loop van de maand weer uit naar mijn vertrouwde (korte) lengte. Elke manicure is deze maand gedragen met base coat en top coat, tenzij anders vermeld. We helped our friends out with moving boxes in the last weekend of September. Of course I was clumsy and broke a nail. So I started October with nubbins. But during the month they grew back to my preferred (short) length. Every manicure this month was worn with base coat and top coat, unless otherwise stated. Het is september en het weer begint af te koelen. Zomerschoenen worden al minder gedragen en de tijd van pedicures is bijna voorbij. Tijd om jullie allemaal te vertellen welke nagellakken ik op mijn tenen heb gedragen deze zomer. Ik laat mijn voeten niet zien, maar nagellak swatches op mijn duim. Elke pedicure heb ik ongeveer drie weken gedragen. It’s September and the weather is cooling, so summer shoes are less worn en pedicure time is almost over. Time to tell you what I wore for pedicures this summer. I’m not showing feet, but thumb swatches of the polishes worn. I wore every nail polish colour for approximately three weeks. Augustus was een mooie zomermaand. Met het gezin zijn we ook op vakantie geweest en ik had wat nagellakken ingepakt. Ik nam vooral wat mini’s mee en ik pakte ook wat water decals in. Alle manicures zijn gedragen met base coat en top coat. August was a nice summer month. I went on holiday with the family and I packed some polishes. I packed mostly mini’s and I brought some water decals along. All manicures were worn with base coat and top coat. Essie in the you-niverse De eerste manicure van de maand was geïnspireerd op de kleuren van de hortensia. Ik draag hier Essie in the you-niverse in twee laagjes. Het is een roze nagellak met een koele ondertoon. The first manicure of the month was inspired by the colours of the hydrangea. I’m wearing Essie in the you-niverse in two coats. Het duurde tot de tweede helft van de maand voordat het weer een beetje warmer en zonniger werd. Op mooie dagen nam ik mijn foto’s met bloemen in de tuin. Die is door de vele regendagen heel groen. De vaste planten en de seizoensbloeiers bloeien prachtig. The first half of June was very rainy and cold, we had to wait until the second half of the month for better weather and more sun. Begin april werden de bomen weer groen en was het mooi lenteweer. Daarna volgden een paar frisse weken. Daardoor droeg ik het liefst koele lila tinten. In totaal droeg ik 9 manicures. Alle nagellakken zijn gedragen met base coat en een top coat. Early April started with the trees turning green again. It was also nice spring weather. After that a few colder weeks followed. Het eerste kwartaal van het nieuwe jaar is alweer voor bij. Voor de maand maart droeg ik tot St. Patrick’s vooral groene nagellak. Daarna droeg ik nog wat lakken van mijn winter selectie. De maand eindigde met mijn paas manicure. Elke manicure wordt gedragen met base coat en top coat. The first quarter of the year had ended. For the month of march I wore mostly green manicures until St. Patrick’s Day. Then I wore the final few of my winter rack. The month ended with Easter, so that’s the theme for my final manicure of the month. Every manicure is worn with base and top coat. OPI Makes Men Blush Ik startte de maand met een neutrale manicure. Ik droeg deze maand van alles wat en ik probeerde weer eens een meer uitgebreide nail art te maken. Helaas zal ik daar wat meer voor moeten oefenen. This month I wore a little bit of everything and I tried my hand at a more elaborate nail art, but that needs more practicing. Ik was oktober geëindigd met een Halloween nail art en had behoefte aan een reset. Ik vond het een hele geslaagde combinatie. Deze maand heb ik iets meer manicures gedragen dan gemiddeld. In eerste instantie was herfst nog niet aan de orde aan het begin van de maand, maar de tweede helft van de maand had meer traditioneel herfstweer met koelere temperaturen en regen. Hierdoor kreeg ik echt zin om mijn herfstkleuren te dragen. This month I wore slightly more manicures than average. At the start of the month the weather was still warm so it did not feel like fall yet, but the second half of the month had traditional fall weather. That change in the weather motivated me to start wearing my autumn selection. BKL Bee’s Knees Lacquer You Can Bury Your Own Nuts! De maand startte met de verjaardag van Dochter. Ik ben deze maand gestart met de nagellakken van mijn zomerselectie. Met de Barbie film die uitkwam, heb ik ook meer roze gedragen. This month I started wearing de polishes from my summer nail polish rack. And with the opening of the Barbie movie, I chose more pink. Ik heb deze opgebouwd door eerst een laagje Catrice Jelly-licious aan te brengen, dan een laagje essence pinkVENTURES en dan weer een laagje Catrice Jelly-licious. Deze maand hadden we twee feestdagen, namelijk Pasen en Koningsdag. Altijd leuk om dan wat extra’s op de nagels te dragen in vorm van nail art. Ook de rest van de maand heb ik ook zo op zijn tijd wat nail art gedaan. With Easter and King’s Day we had two fun holidays this month to do some nail art. I also tried to wear some nail art in between. Catrice More than Nude translucent effect nail polish 02 Glitter Is The Answer Ik starte de maand met een neutrale kleur. Deze nagellak van Catrice More than Nude heeft een grovere shimmer en geeft een parelmoerachtig effect zonder dat je sporen van de kwast ziet. Ik draag hier drie laagjes met base en top coat.
