Maart was niet mijn beste maand. Helaas was ik twee keer ziek deze maand. Ik begon de maand met griep. En richting het einde van de maand werd ik nog een keer ziek met een buikgriep. Gelukkig lukte het wel om regelmatig mijn nagellak te wisselen. Elke manicure was gedaan met base coat en top coat, tenzij ik anders vermeld. March was not the best month so far. Ik heb in februari drie keer per week mijn manicure gewisseld. Daar had ik deze maand tijd voor! Daardoor heb ik een heleboel manicures om te tonen. Alles is gedragen met base coat en top coat, tenzij anders vermeld. I was able to change my manicure three times a week in February. Normally I don’t have time to change it so often. Het jaar startte stormachtig en werd daarna opgevolgd met veel mist en bewolking. Maar wellicht was er toch vaker zon dan ik mij herinner. Voor mijn gevoel was het in ieder geval een hele grijze maand. In navolging van Instagram ga ik dit jaar over op een nieuwe verhouding van mijn foto’s. Ik ga het de eerste maanden uitproberen en kijken hoe mij dit bevalt. Alle manicures zijn deze maand gedragen met base coat en top coat. The year started off with stormy weather and then followed cloudy and foggy weather. Maybe there was more sun than I remember. But I felt that it was a very grey and overcast month. December is een feestmaand met Sinterklaas, Kerst en Oudjaar. Elke manicure heeft deze maand wat nail art gehad. Het weer was deze maand erg grijs. Daardoor was het moeilijk om foto’s te maken van de holografische eigenschappen van de nagellakken. Maar onder onze keukenlampen zag ik vaak wel de sparkles. Alle nagellakken zijn gedragen met base coat en top coat, tenzij anders vermeld. December is a month filled with holidays. First it’s Saint Nicholas, then Christmas and finally New Year’s Eve. Every manicure this month had some nail art. The weather was very overcast this month. That made it difficult to photograph holographic properties of nail polishes. In het laatste weekeinde van september hielpen wij vrienden met het sjouwen van verhuisdozen. Helaas brak ik hierbij een nagel, dus de maand oktober startte ik met korte nagels. Gelukkig groeide ze in de loop van de maand weer uit naar mijn vertrouwde (korte) lengte. Elke manicure is deze maand gedragen met base coat en top coat, tenzij anders vermeld. We helped our friends out with moving boxes in the last weekend of September. Of course I was clumsy and broke a nail. So I started October with nubbins. September kende dit jaar vele gezichten. De maand begon zomers, daarna volgde een wisselvallige periode en vervolgens was er mooi nazomer weer om daarna fris te eindigen. Dat zie je ook terug in mijn keuzes qua nagellak. Ik heb een variatie van kleuren gedragen. Elke manicure is gedragen met base coat en top coat. The month of September had many faces this year. Augustus was een mooie zomermaand. Met het gezin zijn we ook op vakantie geweest en ik had wat nagellakken ingepakt. Ik nam vooral wat mini’s mee en ik pakte ook wat water decals in. De maand Juli was een echte Hollandse zomermaand met regelmatig zomerse dagen afgewisseld met wisselvallige perioden. Toch gaf het weer ook inspiratie om zomerse nagellakken te dragen. Elke manicure is gedragen met base coat en top coat. July was a month with typical Dutch summer weather. We had sunny warm days and rainy and overcast days. Het duurde tot de tweede helft van de maand voordat het weer een beetje warmer en zonniger werd. Op mooie dagen nam ik mijn foto’s met bloemen in de tuin. Die is door de vele regendagen heel groen. De vaste planten en de seizoensbloeiers bloeien prachtig. The first half of June was very rainy and cold, we had to wait until the second half of the month for better weather and more sun.
