September kende dit jaar vele gezichten. De maand begon zomers, daarna volgde een wisselvallige periode en vervolgens was er mooi nazomer weer om daarna fris te eindigen. Dat zie je ook terug in mijn keuzes qua nagellak. Ik heb een variatie van kleuren gedragen. Elke manicure is gedragen met base coat en top coat.

The month of September had many faces this year. It started off with summer weather, then a period of overcast and rainy weather, then a period of late summer weather and in the end the weather cooled down. This is reflected in the choices I made in my manicures. I wore a large variation of colours. Every manicure was worn with base coat and top coat.

China Glaze Don’t mesh with me with Catrice Shine Lavenderous

Ik startte de maand met een combinatie, namelijk als basis twee laagjes Catrice Shine Lavenderous en daarover twee laagjes China Glaze Don’t mesh with me. Don’t mesh with me bestaat uit flakes in een transparante basis. Ik heb nog niet uitgeprobeerd hoeveel laagjes je nodig zal hebben om het dekkend te krijgen. Daarom koos ik voor twee laagjes (nog niet dekkend) met een andere kleur eronder. De flakes in Don’t mesh with me zijn iridescerend en gaan van paars naar naar geel, groen en blauw.

The first manicure of the month was a combination of two coats of Catrice Shine Lavenderous topped with two coats of China Glaze Don’t mesh with me. Don’t mesh with me is a clear polish with flakes. I have not yet tried how many coats are needed to get full coverage. That’s why I chose for a base and added two coats (still no full coverage). The flakes in Don’t mesh with me are iridescent and go from purple to yellow, green and blue.

L’Oréal Santorini Lagoon

Daarna koos ik voor een blauwgroene nagellak. Ik draag hier twee laagjes van L’Oréal Santorini Lagoon. Op wijs en middelvinger bracht ik stempels aan met een beige stempellak. De afbeelding komt van stempelplaat BM-XL205 (nu Maniology).

Next I chose a teal nail polish. I’m wearing two coats of L’Oréal Santorini Lagoon. On pointer and middle finger I added stamping with a beige stamping polish. The image is from stamping plate BM-XL205 (now Maniology).

Monarch Lacquer Fluttering Beauty

Na een lichtpaarse en een blauwgroene manicure, ging ik verder met een roodtint. Hier draag ik drie laagjes van Monarch Lacquer Fluttering Beauty. De shimmer shift van rood, naar oranje naar geel. Het is een hele mooie lak.

After a light purple and a teal manicure, I continued with a red shade. Here I’m wearing three coats of Monarch Lacquer Fluttering Beauty. The shimmer goes from red to orange to yellow. It’s a very pretty polish.

Catrice ICONails 121 Mint To Be

Daarna koos ik voor een mintgroene nagellak van Catrice. Ik droeg Catrice ICONails 121 Mint to be in twee laagjes. De stempelafbeeldingen komen van KADS stempelplaat Min 029. Deze stempelplaat met verschillende afbeeldingen van bloemen, takjes en blaadjes kan gelaagd gestempeld worden. Ik heb gebruik gemaakt van een rose gold stempellak en een lichtgele stempellak.

Next I chose a mint green polish by Catrice. I wore Catrice ICONails 121 Mint to be in two coats. The stamping images are from KADS stamping plate Min 029. The images from this stamping plate can be used in a layered style. I used a rose gold stamping polish and a pale yellow stamping polish.

Essie Jewel in the crown

Vervolgens koos ik Essie Jewel in the crown om te dragen. Deze fuchsia roze richting paarse nagellak met shimmer stond al jaren te wachten op een beurt. Ik draag het hier in twee laagjes.

Then I chose Essie Jewel in the crown. This fuchsia pink going into purple territory nail polish with shimmer has been waiting for a turn to be worn for years. I’m wearing it in two coats.

Catrice ICONails 177 My Berry First Love and Rogue Lacquer Dark Petals

Daarna bleef ik in dezelfde kleur familie met deze manicure. Ik draag op duim, wijsvinger en pink twee laagjes Catrice ICONails 177 My Berry First Love. Op de wijsvinger bracht ik daarna nog een laagje Catrice Amethyst Aura aan en een afbeelding van stempelplaat KADS fashion 096. Op de middelvinger en ringvinger draag ik een flake bomb nagellak van Rogue Lacquer Dark Petals. Bij een flake bomb gebruik ik meestal een laagje kleur (in dit geval Catrice My Berry First Love) waarover ik twee laagjes van de Rogue aanbracht.

For now I stayed in the same colour family. This manicure is with Catrice ICONails 177 My Berry First Love and Rogue Lacquer Dark Petals. I’m wearing the Catrice in two coats on thumb, pointer and pinky. On the pointer finger I added a coat of Catrice Amethyst Aura and an image from stamping plate KADS fashion 096. On middle finger and ring finger nail I painted two coats of the flake bomb polish Dark Petals over one layer of the Catrice. With flake bomb polishes I like to use one layer of colour underneath.

Cuticula Nail Lacquer Blossom By Blossom

Daarna koos ik voor Cuticula Blossom By Blossom van de Shift Happens Collab van maart 2023. Deze paarsige (maar misschien kan je het ook beschrijven als roze of rood) nagellak heeft een sterke shimmer die beweegt tussen groen, geel en blauw. Daarnaast heeft het kleine holo flakes voor extra twinkels. Ik draag het in drie laagjes.

Then I wore Cuticula Blossom By Blossom from the Shift Happens Collaboration from March 2023. This is a mostly purple (it could also be described as pink or reddish) nail polish with a strong shimmer that shifts between green, yellow and blue. It also has small holographic flake for more sparkle. I’m wearing it in three coats.

Phoenix Indie Polish Oops 27

Vervolgens droeg ik Phoenix Indie Polish Oops 27. Dit is een lila nagellak met shimmer en zwart-rode UCC flakes. Ik draag het in drie laagjes.

Next I wore Phoenix Indie Polish Oops 27. This is a lilac nail polish with shimmer and red to black UCC flakes. I’m wearing it in three coats.

Catrice ICONails 130 Meeting Vibes

We naderen het einde van de maand. Nu draag ik Catrice ICONails 130 Meeting Vibes in twee laagjes met een accent nagel. Op mijn ringvinger heb ik een afbeelding van KADS stempelplaat Fashion 076 met zilveren stempellak aangebracht.

It’s almost the end of the month. I’m wearing Catrice ICONails 130 Meeting Vibes in two coats with an accent nail. On my ring finger I added an image from KADS stamping plate Fashion 076 with a silver stamping polish.

Polished for Days Enchanted Rose

De laatste manicure van de maand was Polished for Days Enchanted Rose. Ik draag het in twee laagjes. In de zon zie je het holografisch effect, in de schaduw de shimmer. Een hele mooie nagellak.

The final manicure of the month is Polished for Days Enchanted Rose. I’m wearing it in two coats. In the sun it’s very holographic, in the shade the shimmer takes over. It’s a very pretty polish.
