Ik ben deze maand gestart met de nagellakken van mijn zomerselectie. Met de Barbie film die uitkwam, heb ik ook meer roze gedragen.

This month I started wearing de polishes from my summer nail polish rack. And with the opening of the Barbie movie, I chose more pink.

Catrice 141 Jelly-licious met essence 07 pinkVENTURES

Als jaren kijk foto’s naar creatieve ‘jelly sandwiches’. Maar ik heb deze maand er voor het eerst een gedragen. Ik heb deze opgebouwd door eerst een laagje Catrice Jelly-licious aan te brengen, dan een laagje essence pinkVENTURES en dan weer een laagje Catrice Jelly-licious. Ik vond het een hele geslaagde combinatie!

For many years I look at pictures of creative “jelly sandwiches’. But this is the first one I made myself. I created this by painting a layer of Catrice Jelly-licious, a layer essence pinkVENTURES and a layer of Catrice Jelly-licious. I liked the combination a lot!

Cirque colors Tourmaline

Cirque colours Tourmaline staat al een paar jaar te wachten op een draagbeurt. Ik ben blij dat ik het nu gedaan heb! Het is een dieproze jelly met holografische flakes. Ik draag drie laagjes met top coat. Ik heb de foto in de zon genomen, om de holografische schittering te laten zien.

Cirque colours Tourmaline is an older untried, and I’m glad I finally got around to wearing her. It’s a deep pink jelly with holographic flakes. I’m wearing two coats with top coat. I went outside for the picture, because it shows the holographic effect better in sun shine.

KBShimmer Such A Smartie

Daarna koos ik voor een nagellak die ik nog maar pas ontvangen had: KBShimmer Such A Smartie. Deze nagellak is uit de zommercollectie van 2023. Dit is een lichtpaarse holografische nagellak met een sterke shimmer. Hierdoor ziet de nagellak er in indirect licht heel anders uit dan in het zonlicht. De shimmer gaat van groen naar perzik naar aqua en paars. Groen en perzik zag ik het meest. Ik draag twee laagjes met top coat.

Then I chose a fairly new nail polish: KBShimmer Such A Smartie. This polish is from the summer collection for 2023. It’s a faded purple lineair holographic nail polish with multichrome shimmer. In indirect light it’s mostly multichrome going from green, to peach, to aqua and purple. I mostly saw green and peach. In the sunlight it transformed in a soft purple lineair holographic. I’m wearing two coats with top coat.

China Glaze Preserved In Amber

Onze zoon is jarig in juli en mocht uitkiezen wat ik op mijn nagels zou dragen op zijn verjaardag. Hij koos China Glaze Preserved In Amber vanwege het Jurassic Park logo. Hij koos ook een stempel uit van een astronaut met een bloemetje. Deze afbeelding is van KADS Sky 008.

Our son’s birthday is in July and he could pick out my mani for his big day. He chose China Glaze Preserved In Amber because of the Jurassic Park image on the bottle cap. He also picked an image to stamp on it of an astronaut with a little flower. This image is from KADS stamping plate Sky 008.

OPI Girls love ponies

Vanwege de premiere van de Barbie film koos ik voor een diepe roze nagellak, namelijk OPI Girls love ponies. Ik droeg deze eerst een paar dagen alleen in twee laagjes met top coat. Daarna droeg ik het nog een paar dagen met twee toppers, namelijk Wikkid polish Flake Me en KBShimmer Out of Sequins (R).

Because of the premiering of the Barbie movie, I wore a deep bright pink: OPI Girls love ponies. I first wore it a couple of days in two coats with top coat. Then I added two toppers and wore it for another couple of days. I added Wikkid polish Flake Me and KBShimmer Out of Sequins (R).

Essie mod square met Rimmel 021 Bedazzle

Mijn tweede rondje Barbie nagels was Essie mod square met een accent nagel met Rimmel Bedazzle. Ik droeg twee laagjes van mod square en een laagje Bedazzle op mijn ringvinger. Deze roze nagellak was een betere optie voor Barbie roze, ik werd steeds heel blij toen ik naar mijn nagels kreeg.

My second Barbie manicure was Essie mod square (two coats) with one coat of Rimmel Bedazlle on my ring finger nail. This pink polish was a better Barbie pink. Every time I looked at my nails I felt happy inside!

Wikkid polish Dodge ‘em with OPI Better Be Blue

Mijn laatste manicure van de maand is gekozen vanwege de blauwe glitters van mijn voorgaande mani. Wikkid Dodge ‘em is een neon blauwe nagellak die ik getopt heb met OPI Better Be Blue. Better Be Blue bestaat uit fijne blauwe glitters en grotere iridescent glitters.

My final manicure is inspired by the blue glitters of the manicure before. I wore Wikkid Dodge ‘em, a neon blue, with OPI Better Be Blue, a topper with small blue glitters and larger iridescent glitters.

It was a good month with seven manicures!
