Het is mij deze maand gelukt om best veel nagellakken te dragen. Dus laten we maar meteen beginnen.

I managed to wear a lot of polish this month. So let’s dive in.

L’Oréal nail lacquer 226 Nymphea with Essie you’re so cupid

Ik begon de maand met felroze nagels. L’Oréal Nymphea dekt in twee laagjes. Op mijn ringvinger heb ik als accent een laagje van Essie you’re so cupid aangebracht. Dit is een glitter topper met witte, roze en rode glitters in verschillende maten.

I started the month with bright pink nails. L’Oréal Nymphea covers in two coats. On my ring finger nail I added a layer of Essie you’re so cupid. This is a glitter topper with white, pink and red glitter in different sizes.

ILNP Gumdrop and A England The Wizard holo topcoat

Ik was nog niet klaar met roze nagels en droeg daarna ILNP Gumdrop. Dit is een roze jelly met holografische flakes en dekt in drie laagjes. Maar ik had behoefte aan meer holo, dus voegde nog een dun laagje toe van A England The Wizard.

I still wanted to wear pink nails and chose ILNP Gumdrop. This is a pink jelly polish with holographic flakes and it covers in three coats. To increase the holo I added a thin layer of A England The Wizard.

Rogue Lacquer Bright Sunshine Day with accent nail

Inmiddels was het al behoorlijk warm en zonnig (we hadden deze maand veel warme zonnige dagen) en daar wilde ik iets mee doen. Ik koos voor Rogue Lacquer Bright Sunshine Day. Ik denk dat het twee lagen zijn. Ik voelde mij erg creatief en had er de tijd voor dus ik ging aan de slag voor een accent nagel. De basis van de accentnagel is twee laagjes van DA nails 078 10 Shades of Grey met een laagje van essence All the shimmers top coat 29 make a wish. Daarover stempelde ik een ingekleurde afbeelding van KADS Flower 031. Voor het inkleuren gebruikte ik Hit the bottle Psycho Pink, Hit the bottle Lemon Meringue Fizz en KADS stempellak 030. Ik heb dit bijna een week gedragen!

We had a lot of warm and sunny days this month and I used it as inspiration for the next mani. I chose Rogue Lacquer Sunshine Day and I think I wore it in two coats. I was feeling extra creative and I had the time for it, so I created an accent nail. The base for the accent nail is two coats of DA Nails 078 10 Shades of Grey with one coat of essence All the shimmers top coat 29 make a this. On top I stamped a coloured image from KADS Flower 031. To colour the image I used Hit the bottle Psycho Pink, Hit the bottle Lemon Meringue Fizz and KADS stamping polish 030. I wore this for almost a full week!

Penelope Luz Veil and Garland

De volgende manicure bestond uit twee laagjes Veil and Garland van Penelope Luz uit de Here comes the bride collectie. Ik draag het over een lichtgekleurde base coat, zodat het sneller opbouwt qua dekking. Vooral in indirect licht komen de flakes goed tot hun recht. Om in het thema van de collectie te blijven heb ik mijn nagels boven een roos uit onze eigen tuin gefotografeerd.

The next manicure was two coats of Veil and Garland of Penelope Luz over a lightly coloured base coat. This way it’s easier to reach opacity. The polish is from the Here comes the bride collection, so I took a picture of my nails over one of the roses from our own garden. It was in the shade and in indirect light you can see how pretty the flakes are.

KBShimmer Mist me

Daarna pakte ik KBShimmer Mist Me. Dit is een blauwe holografische nagellak met een sterke shimmer die shift van koper naar goud. De beste foto van deze nagellak maakte ik uiteindelijk met mijn telefoon onder de halogeenspotjes in de keuken. Ik draag twee lagen met top coat.

Next I picked KBShimmer Mist Me. This is a blue holographic nail polish with a strong shimmer that shifts from copper to gold. The best picture was the one I made with my phone under the halogen light in the kitchen. I’m wearing two coats with top coat.

Essie In the you-niverse with ILNP toppers

Voor moederdag kreeg ik van de kinderen deze nagellak van Essie. Ik wilde niet te lang wachten met het dragen ervan. Maar na alle sparkles van de vorige mani, was een creme nagellak net iets te saai. Ik loste dat op met twee toppers van ILNP. Namelijk Free Spirit, een flake topper die gaat van fuchsia naar groen en My private rainbow (L+S), dat bestaat uit twee soorten holografische shimmer.

For Mother’s Day the kids gave me this polish from Essie Into the you-niverse. I didn’t want to keep them waiting before my first time wearing it. But after such a sparkling mani, a cream was just a little boring. So I added two toppers by ILNP. Free Spirit is a flake topper that shifts from fuchsia to green and My private rainbow (L+S) is two kinds of holographic shimmer.

Mijn laatste manicure van de maand was een poging om zoveel mogelijk nagellakken van mijn voorjaarsselectie te dragen die ik nog had staan. Want volgende maand start ik aan mijn zomerselectie. Op mijn pinknagel draag ik twee laagjes van Catrice LE Hop, hop, hooray reloaded C07 Basket of tulips. Op mijn ringvinger nagel draag ik twee laagjes van Rogue Lacquer Shattered Rainbows met een laagje China Glaze Fairy Dust. Op mijn middelvingernagel draag ik twee laagjes van Catrice LE Hop, hop, hooray reloaded C09 Lavender Peony. Op mijn wijsvinger nagel draag ik twee laagjes van Catrice LE Hop, hop, hooray reloaded C10 Forget-me-not. Op mijn duimnagel herhaalde ik Lavender Peony. Op alle nagels met met een creme nagellak bracht ik op het onderste deel een dun laagje aan van Rogue Lacquer Shattered Rainbows en een dun laagje China Glaze Fairy Dust. Uiteindelijk paste het nog heel leuk bij elkaar.

My final manicure of the month was an attempt at wearing as many left over polishes from my spring polish selection as possible. Because next month I will start with my summer polish selection. I will go from pinky to thumb. On my pinky nail I’m wearing two coats of Catrice LE Hop, hop, hooray reloaded C07 Basket of tulips. On my ring finger nail I’m wearing two coats of Rogue Lacquer Shattered Rainbows with a light coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust. On my middle finger nail I’m wearing two coats of Catrice LE Hop, hop, hooray reloaded C09 Lavender Peony. On my pointer finger I’m wearing two coats of Catrice LE Hop, hop, hooray reloaded C10 Forget-me-not. On my thumb nail I repeated Lavender Peony. On all the nails with a cream polish I added a light coat of Shattered Rainbows and Fairy Dust to the lower third. In the end I really liked how it all looked together!
